I love the new cover. It's simple but striking.

Damn, I don't like that cover at all.... boring, plain, and horrendous colors that make it difficult to even look at.

Let's hope the music is at the level they're capable of achieving... :D

Yeah +1 on the cover. That is not a Sonata Arctica cover, it's a Strato s/t cover. BAD!!

No jokes intended, ghostly one, but this cover is an eyesore  The colors are excrutiating, and there is definitely a difference between simplicity and boring. The first SA cover was pretty simple, but it was still great. this one is...crap :P It's like an even worse version of Edguy's Kingdon of Madness cover  They even butchered one of the best logos in Power Metal! I'm all for evolving, but something about this just isn't right.

Now...will Frigid find a way to defend it?

It won't look so bright on a printed cover.

it's not the brightness. The colors and shades just don't blend well to me. Hopefully, it idoes look a bit different when printed, but I still think it sucks for other reasons too :P

I think the cover is ok, but I'm not much for simplicity when it comes to album covers. I prefer them grand, like Immortal's At The Heart Of Winter, Storm Of The Light's Bane or Somewhere In Time.

I think some of the songtitles are kinda strange too, "My dream's but a drop of fuel for a nightmare"? What? That's an entire line for a lyric, not a songtitle. When it comes to songtitles I'm all for simplicity, actually.

Anyways, none of this will matter if the album's good though. And I think it'll be.

After Letter For Dana, everything Sonata Arctica does can only be an improvement.

This cover would RULE if they had real lights flashing the band's logo and the album name. Put some small batteries in the CD casing and let there be lights !! :dio:

I agree with Ken. Nice art.

And the song track for #8 sounds like the title to a Metalcore track.

Ha - ha - ha.

I guess me and Eyesore are the only ones that like the cover...

I will admit it doesn't seem very Sonata Arctica-y though.

My copy of Pink Floyd's Pulse still flashes if I put a battery in it! :)
