Wow! How frickin' weird is this?

From andrewwk.com:

Andrew W.K. has been invited to play electric bass guitar as a member of the musical group, Current 93. Andrew will be performing with the group in Europe this spring, at both the Donau festival, and the All Tomorrow's Parties festival.
More information coming soon.

I still say that AWK is awesome! Listen to the clips of his last album, Close Calls With Brick Walls:

VERY different from the "Party Hard" stuff—though that's still present. His last album is well worth finding. At times it's almost an epic rock album! Haha.

The only reason I know who this guy is, is b/c of Madden 02. At least I think it is 02, it might be 03 or 04. Anyway, I thought he was good back then, just b/c I was all about partying. I can still hear that song in my head and I know if I listened to it now I'd find it annoying as hell.

Most of his stuff is total mood music. You got friends over drinking? Throw it on—kick ass!

I have been looking for some current 93 for a while. I have read heaps about them in magazines like Terrorizer, unrestrained! and Rock-a-Rolla.

Black Ships ate the Sky was critically praised everywhere i looked.

Although i have never heard any

Well, duh, Current 93 are an eclectic British experimental music group, working since the early 1990s in folk-based musical forms.

In all seriousness, I had no clue.

I have an album too, Thunder Perfect Mind. Although I'm not too fond of it (for better Neo-Folk, hear some Sieben, a project of Matt Howden here), I'm surprised Ken knows it.

This is definitely a wow! I've tried to get into Current 93 before, but found it somewhat lacking.
