I selected the 3rd option. I like their older stuff. I couldn't sit thru St. Anger. The songs are awfully long and moreover, the sound of two skeletons trying to fuck each other on an asbestos roof is not my idea of music.

You know, I think the last time I listened to St. Anger was before this poll was even created. That, right there, should say a lot.

When St. Anger was being played on the radio, I would often hear typical maintstream music listeners telling me how awesome the drumming was...so sad.

You can expect to hear solos in the next album though. Metallica was publicly embarrassed by reporters on that issue too many times.

I heard maybe about half of it off YouTube and couldn't get anywhere past that. Lordy, it was awful. The audio equivalent to the smell of an autopsy, basically.

I actually thought it was a joke or a parody when I first heard it, and I laughed hysterically. Then my friend told me that they were serious, and I laughed even harder.

I heard the title track again the other day, and was like, 'hey, actually that's not bad'.

st anger would be reduced to 'merely bad' in my eyes if each song had been cut by about three minutes.

Zad, you've lost it.

The rawness of the drums gives the whole thing an Industrial vibe. It's weirdly progressive.

+1!

I'll stand by ye on this one, Zad.

Although the lyrics are the most hilariously bad thing about it, as neatly demonstrated by Rad.

The lyrics are dreadful, indeed. I'm not saying it's a lost masterpiece, just that it's not as bad as people say.
