After the 'Shaaman incident' Andre Matos has decided to go solo!

Here's a link to his new site: http://www.andrematos.net/?lang=en
There's a link to a streamable demo version of a new track called Rio. I liked it :) A bit heavier style than what we've used to hear. But I'd so wish he would do the early Angra style -fast, happy, kickass power metal- all over again coz that would so rock!

What 'incident' are you referring to? Did something happen between the band memebers or are you inferring that Shaaman sucked? Which they definitely did not.

Something happened between the band members Anrdre, Luis and Hugo decided to leave Shaaman, from what i hear Ricardo is still in Shaaman so i guess there was some sort of conflict within him and the othe other three, and youre right Shaaman did not suck, Ritual IMO is better than anything that Angra ever did.

about that song Rio, i didnt like it, i just hope this new project doesnt suck.

Awesome song, I loved it. If the rest is anything like that, that album will be a total killer. :dio:

I love getting excited over thread titles, but hate being disappointed by what is inside. This song is pretty bad.

And the first Shamaan kicked massive amounts of ass, but Voice... it doesn't come close to Angra (minus Fireworks).

It does  , well maybe i was exaggerating when i said it was better, in fact i shouldnt be compairing both bands so yeah i guess youre right.

Minus Fireworks? what are you talking about, Fireworks is one of the best Angra albums, my favourite Angra records are:

1. Holy Land
2. Rebirth
3. FIREWORKS

For me including both Shaaman and Angra.

1. Temple of Shadows
2. Holy Land
3. Ritual
4. Angels Cry
5. Rebirth
6. Fireworks
7. Reason
8. Aurora Consurgens

Mateos seems to be going through bands like crazy first Viper, then Angra, then Looking Glass Self and Shaaman.

Oh crap, I forgot about Aurora Consurgens. That'd be last for me.

I said 'Shaaman incident' just 'jokingly' coz I thought it sounded cool and uh, menacing

Funny, that most of you didn't like the track either :omfg: Well, at least ONE liked it besides me, yai! :P :lame:

Personally i think Andre Matos' best work was with Viper. Soldiers of Sunrise and Theatre of Tragedy were so awesome.

I would't go as far as his best work but its damn fine stuff. I heard Ricardo Bocci who replaced Mateo's in Viper sing some of Mateo's songs and it was painful to hear.
