AESTHETICS OF HATE (Rough Mix)

I don't like the way the drums come in. I hope they change this in the final mix. Otherwise I think this song kicks all kinds of ass! I can't wait for the album.

Now, hate away. :lame:

Awsome album cover :dio:

And as for the song, I like it. As good as anything of BME or TTAOE.
I'm looking forward to this album alot.

That was fairly ok. Yeah, that cover is awesome, but the album title is pretty Spinal Tap :P

Bugger. Goddamn shitty blocking software.

Zad would be REALLY appreciative if someone nice was to attach this to an email and send it to him. Like, REALLY.

Great tune. TTAOE has grown on me significantly over the course of the past year or so. And I'm glad to see Rob Flynn continuing in the proggy direction he took on that album. The bridge at about the 1:50 mark, in particular, is awesome.

Look forward to this album.

It's a 12MB file. Since it's a rough mix I cranked up the kbps to make it sound louder.

I thought it wasn't great, but it certainly was pretty good.

I got the promo for this yesterday, and I'm floored. The album is outstanding! It is their fastest and heaviest album yet. The dual soloing is fucking awesome, I was getting goose bumps listening to them. The dynamics on this one are all over the place.

1. Clenching The Fists Of Dissen (10:35)
2. Beautiful Morning (4:49)
3. Aesthetics Of Hate (6:34)
4. Now I Lay Thee Down (5:36)
5. Slanderous (5:17)
6. Halo (9:03)
7. Wolves (9:04)
8. A Farewell To Arms (10:12)

Running time: 61:13

The haters are still going to hate it, because that's what they do, but if you're a Machine Head fan, you're going to fucking drool while listening to this album.

I'll admit to liking some MH over the years, and I do like longer tracks in general. Thanks for pointing this out.

When it's heavy, it's heavier and faster than Burn My Eyes. There are still some melodic moments, especially in the epic closer, but it's really not like Burn My Eyes.

Long tracks = :dio:

Now's as good a time as any to admit I bought Supercharger recently, and am waiting for it to arrive. Yes, deliberately.

i really liked everything up to 4:15. just about everything after that may as well be cut out, it's useless. that's one of the reasons i'm not a big MH fan, so many of their songs have unnecessarily long intros and/or endings. because when they cut the crap and keep up a good pace they can be pretty damng good (blood for blood and davidian without the intros come to mind, among others).

The intro to "Davidian" is one of the baddest metal intros ever! You kidding? It seems that you just like a good ass pounding and don't like foreplay or cuddling.

And, Zad, Supercharger isn't horrible. It's easily their worst; but there are some good songs on it. At least the band has since admitted to bending to label pressure to write more mainstream, accessible music on that album and The Burning Red—which I still think is a great album. Supercharger just has some bad songs, like "Trephination," "Blank Generation," and "Supercharger." But there are some great songs on this album. Some suffer from shitty lyrics—"American High," for instance.

"Deafening Silence" is my favorite track.

i generally can't stand long intros, and i realize that it's my problem and not the band's.
