I'll try to come up every week or so with recommendations for new albums or some "we are so kvlt that no one know us , but we are fucking rule" kinda bands (but only the "fucking rule" type... no crappy bands here!) .
Its not a review... just my way to share some good stuff that I know and enjoy...

well... this week , a new album:
Narqath is back....

The new album from this one man project is much more folkish than Wyrd last two.... and its a very good one!
The production is good , in a BM kinda way... more "clean" than Vargtimmen pt.I\II , but still raw as BM should be!
Also there are acoustic parts , really good ones... and the riffs are more catchy and melodic.
There are 2 long , more mid-paced tracks , and 4 shorter , faster track... all of those kick major ass indeed.

I'm on the 6th listen.... and its just getting better for me....

Hails my friends! Enjoy!

Hmm... I really didn't like Vargtimmen pt.2, but pt.1 and Huldrafolk were pretty good. But I guess I will check this out, Wyrd is rather nice after all.

Well , I must say it's the same here about Vargtimmen pt II , but this album is really nice....
Folk BM is not my usual cup of tea , but Narqath did a good job on this one.
It remainds me some of Valfar's (R.I.P) work.

Check it out , you may like it.... or may not...

I happened upon a torrent for this last week and I enjoyed listening to it. I like that the production doesn't hide the bass or bass pedal, and yet the guitar is still as all-encompassing as it should be.

I really like Noitanska and consider it to be the best track from the CD, but then I always fall for long tracks, haha.

Looks like I was the only one that found Vargtimmen Pt 2 to be great..... . But it doesn't matter!!! Narquat and I don't need you, humph!!

Anyway, I'm glad Wyrd released a new album, thanks for the info.

Narqath is an obscenely talented individual. Wyrd rules. Period.

No you aren't the only one. The second part was a great evolution from the first one, with more variations and the-ever-great-songwriting. So I'm really looking forward to Rota.

Wow. This is an old thread.

I am listening to Rota right now, and I think this could possibly be put high up on my top five list of 2005. I'm at "Henkien yossa" right now. Hopefully the rest of this album is this kick ass.

I love Vargtimmen pt2! Ominous Insomnia RULES!

I downloaded Rota a few months ago but strangely it has no vocals?! Do I have some early version, or did Narquath decide to do an instrumental this time?

Regardless of whether the instrumental version is the final version or not, I really like Rota. Catchiest riffs from a Wyrd album yet.
