Aghora is more prog than power, but their new album is truely excellent. Some of you might recognize the band through it's connection to Cynic.

Some good names already listed so I'll just add Epica to the list.

As for Sinergy thier last abum absolutely shreds and Kims vocals fit in perfectly. :dio: Its a nice change from the soprano's that are running amok in the genre.

Forgotten Tales is from my town and I have never been able to make it through one of thier albums due to the lead singers accent.

For those who mentioned Dark Moor don't forget Fairyland who have 2 great albums with Elisa Martin.

Yeah you're right had a brainfart. The album is called "Of Wars in Osyrhia".

Anyone heard of Twyster? Pretty decent melodic power metal/hard rock from Germany. The singer at times reminds me of Kimberly Goss .

I just found their debut in the used bin a while back. I was quite surprised when a woman started singing. I always thought they had a male singer! Anyway, the debut is excellent! Very similar to the post-Cynic band Portal.

My favorite Dark Moor album.

I still listen to that quite a lot even now, which says alot about that album coz i don't listen to nearly as much metal as i used to.

Yeah, she's only on the debut. Well, I think she's on the first demo, too, so I guess technically he's right.

So, like, nevermind, or something.

It depends if you mean operetic female vocals, or kick ass bal-sy female vocals. My fave bands belong to the second category so I suggest Ignitor, Black Knight, Chastain (Leather Leone era), Warlock, White Skull (Tales from the North or Asgard ep), Power's Court, Sinergy (the second album is the best imo) etc.

what i always say ( in fact i think i said it one page one of this thread lol) don't get how people think suicide by my side is their best, a very hit and miss album with very few killer tracks.

Crystal Viper is a decent band from Poland that's more true metal than power. http://www.crystalviper.com/

Killer dude! I love both Aghora albums, I hope you get a chance to check out the second one. I'll be sure to look out for Portal.

I have it. I even remastered it to match current volume levels. I could share. :)

Otherwise, as the man said, get into female-fronted generally.

Sinergy, is it?

correct

Yeah her voice is shitty. Music's good though, hopefully they'll finally do a new album and it'll be more Bodom than Bodom.

I think Kinberlys voice is great. To hell and back is one of my all time favorites. Every track is amazing, apart form laid to rest which is just a bag of shite. A very underated album imo and i recomend everyone to listen again! Just for the solo's if anything!

To Hell And Back is one of my favourite metal albums too (Retutn to the fourth world is simply amazing), but ... Kim's voice live is terrible. Check this out:

This is Beware The Heavens live. I felt embarassed watching the vid, she just blows. This is even worse than a recording I have of Mustaine singing Train Of Consequences live in Sao Paulo.

She got a lot bigger over the years. She sounds like ass, though. She's much better than that. What the fuck happened to this band? Sins Of The Past is like Chinese Democracy!

To add to the list, Lunatica is a band worth checking out too, especially their album Fables & Dreams. Good Symphonic Power Metal band.
