That's it , I have had it with these greedy recording label fuckers.

There's an online store here in Brazil that put Kamelot's DVD for pre-order, and they promised to deliver it by December 3. When December 3 arrived, they delayed it to December 7. Then December 10. Then, they raised the price by FIFTY PERCENT, promising a December 13 deliver. In 12/13, they delayed it AGAIN to December 21, raised the price 20% and guess what : they CANCELLED all orders that were made previously because the recording label just doesn't have a clue WHEN the damn thing is arriving. So now my order is cancelled and if I wanted to order agaian ... I'll have to pay EIGHTY PERCENT more.

These fuckers wont see a dime coming from me. Fuck them all, I'm DOWNLOADING the DVD.

If I had the chance to say something to Youngblood, Khan, Grillo and Barry, I would say sorry guys, you are my favourite band right now, I would LOVE to buy your DVD, but no one is going to play me for an idiot. I'll go to your concert everytime you're here, but damn this dvd thing got me pissed.

I wouldn't steal a car, but I would copy one if I could. Imagine aproaching that brand new BMW parked on the street, you point your little car-copying device and BANG, another BMW pops out right on the side of the original.

Anyways, I'll keep my downloaded DVD, and I'll buy the original the moment they return the original price.

I just wish they'd make one about actual pirates. If I were the International Assocation of Being Dicks Concerning Music, I would definitely target schooner thieves as opposed to 13 year olds downloading the new Nelly Furtado.

Nope. Until now, Submarino is the only web site that has it. And that delaying-raising price got me very pissed. Of course I'll buy the DVD someday when they lower to price to the original value, I love Kamelot.

Uh ... Yes I have. How would that work? How much does it cost in the US? Here the price was originally US$20, but then they raised it all the way up to US$40 and still no release date. It just keeps getting postponed. It's not really Submarino's fault, it's Hellion, the record label that's releasing the DVD here in Brazil. Bunch of turds ...

I have just finished watching the concert and may I say this is indeed a MUST BUY product, not just a must watch. I'm downloading the second DVD now. Don't worry Ken, I WILL BUY this :D ... they are my favourite prog/power band you know ...

Anyway, thanks for the concern ... let me know how much would the total cost be and then I contact you later.

I think music DVD prices are the best indicator of how high the price of new CDs really are.

The DVD version of this release costs only 18% more than the CD version in Sweden. And the DVD version includes the same audio contents, while adding video to the songs as well as interviews and 5 music videos.

It also costs only 5% more than the limited digipack version of "The Black Halo".

The digipack version costs about 24% less than a High Definition movie on a Blu-Ray disc and 59% more expensive than a DVD of the same movie. The movie in question is "Full Metal Jacket", so it's not exactly new, but then again... neither is "The Black Halo".

Only to make a few comparisons... music is expensive, why I'm not sure.
