Jurgen, that was the final show on the tour right? How long did Reverend play for, do you remember the setlist? that is so weird for me to hear how small that place is, I have never been to a show that small. They didnt film any of it did they?

They'll be playing a couple more shows in Finland, i think. I can't really remember for how long they played, 2 hours maybe? I can't figure out the the setlist either, i didn't know all the songs, sorry.

Semifinal is more like a pub than a club really. It's in the same building as Tavastia, one of the bigger rock clubs in Helsinki. Generally bigger bands play Tavastia and more underground bands play Semifinal. Reverend Bizarre have played many smaller venues in Finland than Semifinal. They're very respected by the metal crowd, but not so popular in the mainstream. I think they could have sold out Tavastia easy, but maybe they prefer to play smaller venues, who knows.

The gig wasn't filmed. At least i didn't see any film gear around.

yeah, its just that I wish they were more popular and more people were into some of the great doom bands that are out there. I think your right though that they could probably care less if there is 500 people or 50. I have certainly heard of the name tavastia, in fact I think Kreator is playing there soon or just recently played there. you mentioned semifinal was around 150 capacity, what would you say the capacity of tavastia is? thanks for all the info by the way

Yep, some time next year (can't remember the date) with Celtic Frost! The tickets came on sale a few days ago, and i won't have money for a week or so. I'll probably have to murder someone to get to that gig.

I dunno. Easily over 500, could be 1000 or something.

No problem. Why so interested in Helsinki rock venues?

It just became of interest to me because the last week or so I have been reading like every page of the Reverend Bizarre forum where the members of the band have been posting regarding their final tour which comes to an end this month and they have been mentioning places in finland and europe where they would be playing and trying to get the tour organized. I always see the name tavastia come up as more of the well known bigger bands go there. Its just kinda interesting I guess that there can be such a difference in sizes of venues, from super small to huge and everywhere in between. Anyways, you should try and catch that kreator show, I have seen them and Celtic Frost both live before and they are both great, what a show to have them together!

I'm trying to gather the cash for the tickets before they're all sold out. Kreator and Celtic Frost are both godlike to me. I saw Celtic Frost this summer and they were absolutely killer.

yeah, I saw Celtic Frost in a smaller club than where I usually see concerts at and it was probably one of the best sounding concerts I have ever seen and I have been to a lot of concerts. I saw Celtic Frost with Sahg and 1349 on their US tour. Do you like Sahg?

Haven't heard Sahg. Isn't that the side-project of some guy from Gorgoroth?

Good show tho, worthless fucking Blake, though, touring with sludge shit, and claiming to be it... Eyesore would love this fag. Thank god he played worthwhile shit. Fuck the bands he toured with, and fuck this new Nachtmystium. US BM really becomes a joke the more I see it.

FUCKING FAGGOTS.

666 Hail satan. End this queer shit.

Metal heads should bring knives to shows to drive falser's out. Noodles, suck Blake's cock. Better yet, perm marker Bocci's on yer cock, and let retard face go at it. I'm really sick of these fucking over sensitive fags getting personal about the scene. Sunova bitch cries about being a primodona and totally acts like one 100% of the time. Fucking oxygen thief.

This is awesome.

Don't mod me queers, it's Xmas. : )

Die Blake. >= D

I just got back from Overkill at The Lucky Dog in Worcester Mass.
It was great. The band that played before them kicked ass as well. There name is Candy Striper Death Orgy. How would I describe them? One word: Slayer.

Just came from Napalm Death. One word: :dio:

Btw, Barney had a broken leg, he broke it the other night, at a show in Serbia. But they wouldn't cancel the show, the man climbed onto the stage and sang the whole evening in one leg. That's Napalm for you.

Saw Destruction/Into Eternity/Municipal Waste/Cardiac Arrest last night.

Great venue, surprisingly clean, and awesome set up... I didn't see Into Eternity, because I was in the bar drinking beer, and the music heard all around the place was about as loud as the CD music playing before the show started. I don't know what that was all about, they were only on for like 20-30 minutes anyway, though.

Cardiac Arrest was sick. All the bands were really sick.

A side note I'll wanna remember is how harshly I got roughed in an extremely mellow pit... Great show, but MW got the best pit. Destruction had a fucking amazing set, I'm not some kind of Destruction freak, but they really fucking nailed it. One of the finest shows I've ever seen. The pit was weak, but the mainstays kept it alive... It's hard to mosh in motorcycle boots, and I didn't even realize I was taking a fucking beating. It felt fun at the time... buuuut, both my ankles got twisted, I busted my top lip, had two mice on my face, bruised my back, the back of my R. Hand swelled up, I thought it was broken, and I had like 7 other pains... But, I only fell over once (more like got flipped over my own head). I woke up this morning and could hardly fucking walk. I was like... WTF? Just didn't seem like I had taken that much damage. Only the facial stuff had been apparent at the show. Enough about me...

^^^^^

I'm insanely jealous.

Will be seeing Kataklysm on Valentine's Day. Don't know who else is coming with them, but it's probably gay metalcore. It always is around here.

One HUGE thing I forgot... at the end of the show, Destruction announced who they'd be rolling into Chi-town with next time.

Destruction.Kreator.Sodom.

Yeah, my balls exploded, too.

One year supposedly, if they don't roll through your hood, come to Chicago, and I'll house yer ass, and get you drunk and shit, and probably arrested, too, but it'll be after the show, no worries.

Saw Amon Amarth in Gothenburg about a week ago. Tyr was the guest band and played really well, but I was not very open to them at the time since we were in a somewhat hurry, and eagerly awaited ze tr00 vikings.
Speaking of which, it got a litte too religious for me when Amons singer said "Gothenburg, you here tonight are the last true men of headen blood" between two song. It would have been funny if he didn't sound so sincere.
Anyway, the show was good and I'm happy I went there. Just wish the songs could have sounded less repetetive live.

Saw Overkill a week and 1/2 ago. Last week I saw Enslaved and Dark Funeral on the 5th and Unleashed, Belphegor, and Krisiun on the 7th.
