I could never get into Cathedral. I just traded away the two CDs I owned. I hated the vocals.

Anyway, I've picked these up recently:

Solitude Aeturnus - Alone (w/Bonus Track) :dio:
Tacere - A Voice In The Dark (EP)
Tacere - I Devour (CD Single)

Alone is a 100/100 release! It's fucking awesome. Tacere is a finish goth-metal/doom-death band, one of the best I've heard in a long time. Very dynamic song structures; that hurts them ocassionally when a song transitions and it doesn't flow too well, but overall they're damn good! Full-length in 2007, I can't wait!

Eyesore, I highly highly recomend you listen to Cathedral - The Garden of Unearthly Delights. The 27 minute song is worth the price of the cd alone, I cant get enough of that song. It really is a great cd start to finish. what exactly about the vocals dont you like?

I don't know, bro; I just find nothing appealing about the vocals, nor have I found the music to be that appealing. It's just a band I'll never like, I suppose.

No, I haven't; and unless they have a new singer there's no point.

Cool, so now you understand why some people completely write off Trivium on the basis of the vocals? :dio:

I have always understood that; considering I hated his vocals on the first two, but loved the music.

Not really a purchase, but Zaraza - Slavic Blasphemy can be downloaded here.

It's a kickass album that funeral and or doomdeath fans will want to check out. I might even review it someday.

The Sword - Age Of Winters

I realized today that I dont have nearly enough sludgy bands on CD.
