Actually, they've done quite a few covers. They've covered Thin Lizzy, KISS, The Osmonds (believe it or not!), Sammy Hagar, John Sykes and Phil Lynott, Queen, etc. Their cover of the Sykes/Lynott tune "Please Don't Leave Me" was a mega-hit in Japan, and even resulted in a re-release of the original version.
What albums were they on?
>"Little Darling" (Thin Lizzy) on "Red, Hot and Heavy"
>"Hard Luck Woman" (KISS) and "Crazy Horses" (The Osmonds) on "Spooked" (I just checked my copy, and "Crazy Horses" is a bonus track on the Japanese release.)
>"One Way to Rock" (Sammy Hagar) on "Planet Panic"
>"Please Don't Leave Me" (John Sykes/'Phil Lynott) on "Sin Decade," "Offside," and "Stripped"
>"'39" (Queen) and "Fly Away" (Phil Lynott) on "Offside"
>"Far, Far Away" (Slade) on "First Cuts...And Then Some" (Also on the Japanese release of "Stripped," I think.)
>"A Merry Jingle" (Thin Lizzy/Sex Pistols joint project, believe it or not!) on "In Santa's Claws"
>"Oh Fortuna" (classical tune by Carl Orrf) on "Red, Hot and Heavy" (titled simply "Fortuna" on the album)
I think that's all of them. The prevalence of Thin Lizzy tunes is not surprising, considering that Pretty Maids started out as a Thin Lizzy/Rainbow cover band!
