Ok so i think it was time for me to make a thread about a Mexican band, and i decided to start with one of the most underrated and greatest bands of my country(mainly because not many people has heard them).
Formed in 1988 Mortuary played a style of death metal, in the line of bands like Deicide (mostly the vocals), Death and Morbid Angel, clearly influenced by early Slayer, their 1992 debut album, Blackened Images could clearly compete with the other acts of the 90s death metal scene, with crushing catchy riffs, interesting shreds and great vocals, Mortuary banged the heads af many Mexican metallers, unfortunately being from Mexico didnt help the band in getting the exposure they deserved, add that to the bad economy of the country, and it was clearly that Mortuary was doomed from the start , they were at the right time but in the wrong place, their second album set the end for the band and it was only distributed among friends, but their legacy still remains among the old school Mexican metalheads, im not sure if many of you know but the mexican metal scene is mostly Death Metal, so if youre interested on some amazing Death Metal bands be sure to check out The Chasm, Shub Niggurath, Warcrusher, Ravager, Demonized, Impiety, Cenotaph, Hacavitz, Foeticide, Anton and Raped God.
So here is the first Mortuary album Blackened Images. (since its almost impossible to buy this, im posting here the full album instead of some tracks, its only 27MB):
