Its going to be an incredible show, I take it from your Novemeber 29th date that you're going to the Montreal show too?

I will be seeing them in the US in December, and I recently saw an interview with Marcus that suggested they will be dropping ATTWS because it works better with larger crowds than they will be playing for here

They're coming in December.

Fairly simmilar to the set list they used on the last US tour. I don't mean to complain but does it seam odd that Tales From the Twilight World only gets two songs? I know it's one of their older albums but it always struck me as the best representation of clasic Blind Gaurdian. And Lost in the Twilight Hall is clearly a more deserving track than Welcome to Dying.

Their last US tour? You mean the only time they were in North America, where they played two shows?

Looks like a pretty good mix and should make for an exciting show (seeing them on the 30th in NYC). Any idea what those other three songs were? I would assume Majesty (so that Battalions of Fear gets some representation) and probably at least one more from A Twist in the Myth.

I still wish they'd drop When Time Stands Still and replace it with The Curse of Feanor or Noldor (Dead Winter Reigns)

No, they did a full U.S. tour in support of A Night At the Opera. Fall of 2002 into the Winter of 2003. Symphony X opened for them. That was their first U.S. tour which struck me as a surprise. When did they do this two date thing?

I wanted to attend this tour so badly. You have no idea.
But alas, so did many other people and tickets were sold out.
They played at the venue I would have went to the other night, I was pretty bummed.

December 8th in Atlanta, baby! I've been waiting for this date to roll around for six months. It will be absolutely fantastic.

Just saw them! It was absoloutely incredible! Seriously, words cannot fucking describe how much I want to give the entire band blowjobs. Thats quality. Bard's Song and Mirror Mirror in particular have to be experienced live; those two songs back to back were possibly my best live experience ever. My only complaint is that since they have so many goddamn good songs and come here so rarely, there are about 10 songs I wanted them to play in addition to the ones they played. Blind Guardian, I love you.

I never usually go along with the crowd when they chant the band's name at a concert, for whatever reason, but last night i couldn't help myself with the "GUAR-DIAN!" "GUAR-DIAN!" "GUARD-IAN!" ... what an amazing show.

That's all i'll say. The show was perfect. The crowd was into it from beginning to end ... probably the first band i see where the majority of the crowd knows the latest stuff (the crowd sang Fly, This Will Never End and Skalds and Shadows (albeit a little less) ... needless to say, the whole crowd were true BG fans ...

Amazing.

They didn't play about 10 of my favourite songs, and although that may sound like a mediocre concert ... they played about 14 or 15 other "my favourite Blind Guardian songs"

Simply amazing. Sound was great, band was enthusiastic ... and Hansi. Well, there is nothing to say about Hansi

How many bands can do a 13 minute song a keep the whole crowd into it and singing along ... not many, but Blind Guardian did! ... And Then There Was Silence was gold

And i thought the Startovarius concert was amazing ... hahahaha

I agree. The whole crowd was in the whole way through; everyone was singing along and moshing (in fact, their rendition of Mirror Mirror is the first song that has made me want to join a mosh pit (and I did) in two years. Thats quality.

P.S. Leaves Eyes sucks.

Saw them at BB Kings in NYC last nite. OMFG what a show. A few differences than the setlist that Brahm_K posted, they played Mordred's Song and This Will Never End. The fans were into it the entire show, singing and chanting along to the songs to the point that the band was visibly blown away by the response they got. The band definitley fed off of that and delivered a phenomenal performance. The venue is definitley not right for these types of bands, and I hope BG realizes that they can go for a bigger place next time they're in town. Overall, one of the best shows I've been to. I missed them the first time they were here (with Symphony X) because I was stuck in college in the middle of nowhere. The wait was worth it.

On the other hand, you had the opening band, Leaves Eyes. They played for nearly an hour, an hour longer than they should have played!!! All the songs they played had the same structure except for the last one which was the only one to have any lead guitar work. Slow, atmospheric (too atmospheric) intros, nu-metal style middle sections, back to slow atmospheric for the outros. The singer didnt have a bad voice, but its not for metal. It was a relief to see them exit the stage.

I almost made the mistake of going to see Leaves Eyes a few months ago, but after drinking a few pints my friend and I decided to stay in the pub with out other friend who wasn't going. Then a few weeks later I actually heard a couple of their songs and breathed a sigh of relief.

Now see I was going to see just leaves eyes because I could give fuck all about Blind Guardian (especially since I bought A twist in the Myth and it pissed me off).

How you get Nu Metal out of Leaves Eyes is pretty fucking incrediable dude, that is almost like saying Graveland plays West Coast style rap in parts..........

I had another friend that saw them that likes Liv and he said they were great and put on a good show.

Leaves Eyes is Folk Metal. They use traditional folk chords and riffs, so how the hell you could say they are Nu Metal is beyond me. I mean if you think they are shit, that's one thing, but you don't know jack shit about music if you think they are Nu Metal.
