Hey I was wondering which Nevermore album to start with. I heard a few parts of some songs on itunes and I really dig them. I think the music kicks ass and that the singer, even though his voice takes a couple of listens to like, has one hell of a range. I guess my fav 30 sec clip comes from the song "the river dragon has come" if that helps at all.

And that song is on Dead Heart In A Dead World, which I was gonna suggest. If you can dig that album, you can dig 'em all!

And Warrell Dane has a very big range. He does some Rob Halford shit on the Sanctuary (pre-Nevermore) albums! Definitely a unique and badass vocalist! It's always good when a vocalist takes some getting used to, you know, then, that he's not a typical singer. :dio:

Yeah he has great lyrics too. His voice is just so different from alot of other singers out there and its powerful. It's too bad I never heard of them till now, but better late then never!

The album that got me into that band was drum rolls..... Dead Heart in a Dead World. A very well rounded album. My favorite song on that album is The Heartcollector it got great guitar playing and an awesome solo. Jeff Loomis is a monster. One of my favorite guitarists.
So I definately woud suggest DHIDW my second suggestion would be This Godless Endeavor which also slays in my opinion.

I'd start with either Dead Heart In A Dead World or Dreaming Neon Black. Both are very good Nevermore albums

Without a doubt Dead Heart in A Dead World. The title track along with The river dragon has come and really every song on the whole album = the awesomeness. This is the album that I strted on Nevermore with and I own all of them now.

Right in line with everybody else, go with Dead Heart in a Dead World or Dreaming Neon Black. Those two albums are the bands best work in most people's opinions.

Dead Heart is definately their best. :dio:

After that, go for the new one, This Godless Endeavour. Those two are the most accessible. The rest might need to grow on you (especially Dreaming Neon Black), but Nevermore never released anything bad by any stretch of the imagination.
