But Slayer's Christ Illusion is kinda ok for me. Not excellent, but a good one. I think Tempo of the Damn would pwn everyth else.

I voted Priest, but they had nothing to come back from, as is Maiden.
I also would have put Machine Head's latest album on here instead of Maiden. Maiden and Priest were never out of it before those albums listed. I dont know enough about Candlemass and Destruction to make a comment of them.

I dont know why Slayer is on here. Christ Illusion is rather average and God Hates Us All is Slayer's best album since Seasons In The Abyss

Well in my opinion GHUA wasn't really a great album. They tried to be extremely heavy and with all the every-few-seconds-f-word just made it sound like some teenage angst album. Yeah they do use it sometimes, but GHUA went to extremes. I liked GHUA, I'm not saying its horrible. But I think Christ Illusion is just better. Not really back to the roots old skool, but at least it's way thrashy-er compared to GHUA. Check out the intro song, Flesh Storm. Blew me off my chair.

I have the album and yes the first song is a killer and maybe another one, but the rest is just... meh

I REALLY wish you mentioned Tempo Of The Damned, though. That would've easily gotten my vote.

And the answer is: Solitude Aeturnus - Alone.

Out of that list, I voted Candlemass though. I would nominate also Paradise Lost's selftitled. A really good gothic metal effort, after their less metal (and less good) post Draconian Times albums.
