Maybe it's just me, but there seemto be few, if any good new metal bands coming out of the UK at the moment. Could anyone recommend me some good new UK bands?

The underground is actually pretty healthy. Check out:

Infestation
Dam
Corpsing
Diamanthian
Bring Me The Horizon
Contra Ignem Fatuum
Adorior
Desecration
Worms Of Sabnock
Spearhead
Axegrinder
Centurion's Ghost
Ted Maul
Black Sun
Capricorns
Evile
Gama Bomb
Head-On
Narcosis
Necrocest
To-mera

Bit of variety there, check 'em out. That goes for the rest of you fuckers (not ONE 'where's Zad gone?' thread?! Not One!!)

Are Axegrinder still going? Crikey I saw them years ago and have one of their tour T-shirts. Evile are pretty good, Napalm Death are Gods and if you count Dragonforce as a UK band then they're the finest around.

I do reckon UK metal's in a bad state though. I mean, aside from Maiden, Sabbath, Priest (the old school lot) etc, doing the rounds, the 'leaders' of UK metal/rock are Bullet For My Valentine, Funeral For a Friend, Lost Prophets (it's bad to be Welsh at the moment!), One Minute Silence and Raging Speedhorn, all of which are plain dreadful.

No wonder we're going to Scandinavia for quality Metal.

Sure we don't habe any quality new signed bands, but the underground is in a better state recently than it has been for years.

I saw Bring Me The Horizon a few months back, and they were the best band I've seen in a while.

I got fed up with the place, and decided to take a break for a while. Consider this a flying visit.

Architects are another should-be-rubbish-yet-are-actually-quite-good band of that sort.

There are a few up-and coming bands bothering the mainstream like BMTH and the Architects, but I can't say I'm a fan of them. I'm highly dubious about the next big British thing, mainly due to me fellow Welshmen like Bullet FMV, Funeral FAF and Lost Prophets. And with Cradle of Filth going all 80s gay pop, my hope is going completely!!! Just Kidding! Dani's still the man!

IMO he seems to be the perfect icon to represent British metal. Maybe it's because that they've sold out and now everyone knows COF. But I think he's the best to represent Britain for the present metal bands.
