I haven't voted though cos have listened to just one album by Destruction and Candlemass. Yeah, Maiden, Slayer and Priest were never gone. But those above albums could be listed as a comeback of sorts. So, what do you folks think?

Machine Head's Through The Ashes of Empires was an awesome comeback album, but out of those I voted for Candlemass (even though I don't feel they ever fell off to be deserving of the "comeback" tag).

I've voted Maiden. Destruction & Candlemass were very near.
But if Candlemass - Candlemass is a comeback, then Exodus - Temple of the Dammed is the best comeback album.

All Hell Breaks Loose.

First Destruction album I ever owned, BTW.

I would say Amorphis - Ecplipse for sure after the dissapointment of Far from the Sun.

On the list BNW.

I voted for Christ Illusion. But they're all really good.

I REALLY wish you mentioned Tempo Of The Damned, though. That would've easily gotten my vote.

Also, Kreator's Violent Revolution should be up there.

I voted Maiden.

But my favourite comeback album was Halford's Resurection. Comeback for the metal god himself, of course, not the Halford band.

Hmm. Thought about that too. But you cannot have more than 5 options. No?

You can edit it so that it includes more options. Tempo... and Violent Revolution should definitely be on there.

Alice Coopers... Brutal Planet??

I kinda like it. Sanctuary is kickass.

I think its a tie between Priest and Maiden.. But since I like Priest more, I'll vote for them. Tempo of the Damned was pretty average, and while Violent Revolution was good, it wasn't amazing or anything. Same with All Hell Breaks Loose.. I would say Destruction really hit their stride again with The Antichrist.

I voted Slayer because I reckon it's their best since Season In the Abyss, but the best comeback album of all time has to be Machine Head's Through The Ashes of Empires as what was between that and Burn My Eyes was sheer pitiful.
