Post subject: Which Of These Two 80s Pop Songs Is Worse

Well, this may very well be the most useless poll I've ever done.

I'm squaring off two 80s pop songs (both from 1981, by the way) that I can't stand. One of which I had to endure (almost in its entirety!) yestarday when watching the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. So, without further ado, here we go.

Oh, and if you're a fan of these songs, there's an option for that too.

I don't know the name of The Go-Go's song, but I'm sure I've heard it. So therefore, both suck.

Har har I have totally haxx0red your poll.

We got the Beat! We Got the Beat, We Got the Beat! YYYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!
We Got it!
repeat ad nausem 15,000 times.

Uh, they both suck. Suck as hard as the night is long.

I would, however, totally do the Go-Gos. Preferabbly a Go-Gos, Bananarama sandwich. A sandwich of love that is. Oh yeah........

Don't forget the horrible Aerosmith-style riff backing this up.

Ok the Go-Go song is bad enough but nothing compares with the horrendous disgust that the Mickey song can affect me with. Man that Mickey-piece of crap is played on every stupid club/disco/party/whatever here in Sweden, sometimes more than once or twice per night. And if that was not gut-turning enough people actually get overly excited with this retarded music. If I had to pick my most-hated song ever, that would be the one!! Everytime I hear it I'm having so violent, vulgar and dangerous feelings and thoughts that even cannibal corpse lyrics could not describe it....

Well...

1. Most of my friends are non-metal so I have to go somewhere with them
2. There are unfortunately no heavy metal or even rock places where I am
3. Not everything they play is bad
4. There are cool chicks there, the real ones, the kind you won't find hiding behind a CD collection or a computer screen.

Now if your questions is more specific than I perceive it, like why I go specifically to disco clubs, then I have to blame it on the bastardized music mentality here in sweden where a mix of everything commercial is good to play. So when you go out, you will listen to pretty much all kinds of crap that you listen to the radio all day long. The radio stations in turn follow blindly the tv stations like MTV and such. And in case you're thinking about asking the "rock/core" question, no not even 1 out of 1000 songs they play on radio or in hang-out places is rock/metal.

Sometimes I wonder how can so many great metal bands come out of this country, I really do wonder... Maybe it's the reaction to the above that creates all this metal feeling in most of those bands!

Dude, I was joking. I've been to tons of dance clubs!

And I've been known to get jiggy on occasion.

Same thing here.

Regarding disco clubs, meh, there's always beer and vodka to make us forget about the music quite quickly.
