I can't believe theres a metal fan out there without Rust in Peace! Sort that one out!! I'd say The Jester Race for the other one, it is a Classic after all.

If I had to choose only 2 CDs from that list then I'd go with the above choice. Nevermore is also a close call. Only thing I would not buy is Amon Amarth, I never managed to like them enough from what I heard. But that's just me, so many other people like them.

However I'd like to make 2 points here about your list.
1. Some of the stuff are old and some are very new. That means that you need a different frame of mind to appreciate the music behind in each album.
2. I also see that most of the CDs in your list belong to different kinds of metal. I hope you know what you're buying before you do and also hope that you're not just buying them because you "heard" that they are "awesome" or "teh shit". I'm no implying anything here, only that those albums don't have much common ground and you won't necessarily like them all just because they have all been rated very high.

Well, deep inside, WE know and HE knows and fears that eventually he will buy more than 2 CDs when that time of judgement comes. At the moment, he looks as if he's buying 3-4 hehe :P

All look decent to me. I'd go for the Amon Amarth and Death. ANyway, what's all the fuss about Edguy anyway?

Even if you have to sell your dad, get Rust in Peace.

For me, death and megadeth... But it's hard cause all are good buys.

My opinion is: evaluate the prices, prefer the used cd/special offer section, try to get the most of them, and give a listen to some of them before buying. Then, choose.

I guess they are a bit flower-metal, and a little gay. But the music is ultra epic, feel-good cheesy power metal. (except the new stuff which im led to believe is hard rock)

I ended up getting:

Megadeth--Rust in Peace
Death--The Sound of Perseverence
Nevermore--Dead Heart, In a Dead World

:dio:
