Hello everyone this is an akward first post, I've been a long time lurker here, and always check the weekly reviews.

Anyway I have been listening to Echo of Dalriada lately and am compelled to bring this great band to your attention http://www.echoofdalriada.hu/Angol/index2.html and their latest CD Jegbonto.

This is a hungarian band that sings in hungarian and I can't understand a word of it but the music and melody of the singing is so damn good! The singer Laura Binder has a great voice, but Ficzek AndrĂ¡s adds great backing vocals he sounds like a cross between Hansi and Marco and maybe a little Jens Carlsson.

It's even more amazing they are self produced and the quality of the production is just wow!

Check this band out, you will not be sorry! They deserve more recognition for sure.

For those who purchase from Sentinel Steel... there's a good chance they'll be carrying the 2 EOD CDs soon.

LoL, I'd probably be speaking hungarian and I don't think they have a street team program, half the links on their website don't even work.

I've been browsing on this forum for a long time( Radaghast used to have a dude in a jean jacket and sunglasses for his avatar before the dinosaur), mainly for reviews and sometimes to read the forums. I just never felt a reason to post but this band is a diamond in the ruff, I can't believe they are so unknown and actually I did learn about them from metalcdratings initially. I've been listening to them the last couple of days, and each day I just appreciate it more and more. I felt I had to post further and let more people know about it, despite being in hungarian their music is very cool.

Maybe they will sing in english on the next one, I don't know if half the charm is I can't understand the undoubtedly cheesy lyrics of the songs, being power metal and all. but I would definately like to see them tour the states one of these days.

So I forgive you for thinking I am street teamer, I thought the singer in Wolf was a girl till I saw the video for I will kill again. Tell me I'm not the only one?? He totally sounds like a chick.

Awesome!! :D
Glad the site's helping guys like you and bands like EOD.

I've also got the Russian band Alkonost in rotation right now... they have 4 CDs and are somewhat similar to EOD and Almora, but they're mostly mid-paced. Still, great folk metal with a soprano vocalist and male vocals too.
I'll be reviewing their latest CD with the next Metal CD Ratings update.

Seriously though guys, be sure and check out Jegbonto... especially those of you who are always raving about Elvenking (another great band)!!

I realize it's a major faux pas to argue with a mod on their own message, and believe me I'm trying to cover my mouth with my hands but I am too busy typing this it seems.

You can roll your eyes all you want, I really don't care what you think. I posted that in good faith, The only reviews anywhere of this band are on metalcdratings and metal-observer, it's not like everyone here doesn't browse those site as well as metal-rules, and very much so this site in particular which I think is the best of them all for reviews and new release information.

If you haven't listened to them I highly recommend them, then you will understand why I am in a sense acting like my own self proclaimed street teamer. I really liked the music and if I can help the band by spreading the word then great.

There are other great bands out there worthy of checking out like Japan's Wizard's Hymm and their CD "Hymnal", espcially the track "Wings of Time". Let me street team for Mercenary while I am at it, their CD "Hours that remain" kicks major ass.

I don't really socialize too much and if you want to get into it, I will obliege, but honestly I just came here to browse the reviews and read forums occasionaly, I might post more often now that I actually stopped being lazy and registered an acocunt, I just figured there would be no point in posting Zomg!!#!#$ Blind Guardian are teh KEwlzzz, when anything I would have to add would already been known by the devout fans of power metal here. This band however is kind of obscure, since I use this site for most of my info on new bands, etc. and I didn't see any reviews whatsoever when searched I figured I would post about them, that's all. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hi. This is Ken rolling his eyes because he made an ass of himself. I believed you, my friend, hence my self-declaration.

However, we have gotten street teamers/spammers that have been a bit innovative in the past, so try to understand where I was coming from.

I welcome all new members that wish to discuss music. That's what I'm here for! So, welcome aboard, and don't take the smilies too literally.

Sorry for being harsh then, I apologize for misconstruing your smiley..lol haha I can't believe I just said misconstrue smiley. I just get defensive since I'm more accustomed to flame wars on forums then anything constructive.

Thanks for the welcome.
