I heard one song on a sampler, and based on that, its a very unwise move im afraid.

The most anticipated part of my day will be checking the mail until this gets to my house.

I think Anathema fits here. Ive never listened to them before, but Ive heard about em and both these albums I found for 5 bucks each at a pawn shop.

Quite good. Not too much up my alley, but you would probably like it a lot.

Anathema roolz da skool yo. I haven't heard Judgement, but Eternity and Alternative 4 are beautiful depressing/uplifting albums.

I wasn't too impressed on the one single listen I've managed to give it so far. Not bad, but nothing special.

Well Judgement is my first from the band and I love it, I loved it from the second "Deep" started. I'll definately be looking into some more musics by this band.

Al these three albums are glorious. Their best moments, by far. Eternity is in my all time top 5 albums since it appeared. The melancholy dose in that album has never been matched in metal.

The Silent Enigma isn't bad either, a bit doomier than Eternity, and with a rougher edge, but quite good. I dislike all their post-Judgement albums though. I think they somehow lost it after that album.

I also enjoyed Judgement and particularly Eternity quite a bit. In fact, Eternity is probably my favorite Anathema album, as they did Pink Floyd worship quite well! Alternative 4 was so-so and they started to lose me after Judgement as well. Their metal period was fine; I'd put it on par with Paradise Lost but inferior to MDB.

Those two Anathema EPs on a single disc. Pentecost III and something? Anyway: woo.
