+ 8 page thread about trivium

And what point are you making?

I belive his point is we should be arguing for 8+ pages about "I - Between Two Worlds" being the best album of 2006 or not.

I posit that it is not!

See you on page 16.

Hey, that will put Trivium at the level of Burzum and his 419 msg thread.

No. This will: Black people love Trivium.

Back to Trivium...

I just ordered their new single from HMV, two unreleased tracks are b-sides. Opinions to come. :)

ANTHEM (WE ARE THE FIRE) (Video)

What a lame video! Of course, the whole concept has been done a million times, but it comes off so much better when Twisted Sister kicks in the door after rolling up in a beat-up Trans Am! These dudes roll up like Latinos in a Cypress Hill video! Haha. Honestly, who directs these piece of shit videos these days? Who authorizes this shit? I know it's not the bands that do it.

Anyway, the bass player is pretty badass.

Saw that video a while ago. It is pretty bad...I don't think the song's that good, either. Entrance of the Conflagration is much better, IMO.

Heafy needs to either grow his hair all the way out or buzz it.

"Anthem" is clearly a rock song. That, and "The Rising," are both rock songs, with slight metal parts. Both were written by Paolo Gregoletto, the bass player. I'm assuming he likes 80's rock/metal! Haha. But he also wrote "To The Rats," which is a killer thrash—yes, thrash!—tune.

And...uh...does this really matter? Haha. Wasn't it shorter before? Maybe he's growing it out just for you?

What is wrong with you? Could you please dispense with the annoying, utterly worthless replies?

About Trivium.
I didn't like them. I had listened to "Ascendancy", and really the metalcore thing is not for me. So I really didn't try the songs of "The crusade" that were posted. But today I have seen the video, then I listened the song Detonation, and my opinion has changed.
The video is bad, very bad. Lame and cliche. But the music inside is as bad as I expected. Is good. pretty good. Instrumentally, they know what they do. The voice is a different thing, is acceptable to good, but sometimes it goes again and again to the metalcore scream, to ruin all. And the music sometimes get lost too.
I'm gonna give a try to the whole album (first downloading, of course) to see if that impressions are ok.

So, my opinion is that an horrible band has been transformed in a good (not great) one. But I think that this is a transition record, and the next one is the one that will show if they really become (they can, I think) a great metal band, or if they get lost in the way of metalcore and metal.

Sad that about 80% of the forum agrees with him, no?

Sad that about 80% of the replies have as much value as what you just wrote.

Here's a suggestion for everyone. When Zad and I "discuss" things, just stay out of it. That'll be for the best now. There will be no flamewars like in the days of yore.

It does matter, because he doesn't look very metal now.

Um...don't get me wrong, but I'd say he looks more metal than YOU. Of course, not many of us look "metal," nor does it mean anything.

You listen to a band for the music, seeker. What they look like doesn't matter one bit! Not one bit.
