Hey i don't hate the new Celtic Frost, I just don't like it very much. Not my style but I can listen to it. But I guess this comment wasn't really directed towards me now was it?

He basically hated everything and everyone, and had something against the people who listen to his music. He had a habit of insulting his fans. True nihilism I suppose.

HaHa! To Mega Therion is an untouchable classic, trying to recreate that would have been extremely foolish. I think the new album is great, you just have to take things for what they are. I would rather have Monotheist than some half-assed attempt to "Return to the Roots."

Surely it would be idiotic to try to make anothe tmt but if a legendary black metal band is coming back I expect them to come back as a black metal band than some weird doomy shit band. I don't have any beef with bands that change their music. I actually encourage it. This time it is different.

I'll tell you why - the name Celtic Frost shifts more units than a solo album would.

I's not just Tom G Warrior, Martin Eric Ain is on the album, and he is just as big a part of Celtic Frost. He always has written roughly half of the material. The only Non-CF guy is the second guitarist they brought in.

And the drummer. I maintain that my point stands though, what is the need to call it CF after so long if its such a different style?

Well, it really isn't too far removed from Into the Pandemonium and Vanity Nemesis. They've always been sort of eclectic. But hey, they could have released another Cold Lake.
