Dream Theater are gay!

Actually my hate for them has grown exponentially when I realised that they created a (lame) template for how 70s prog and metal were supposed to be blended that ruined the potential of a lot of bands.

btw am I the only one who is confused why everyone is calling the new Mastodon proggy? I mean they've got some tekk instrumental breaks and some intricate riffs, but its not progressive by either definition (covering new ground or something involving ambition and/or melodrama and/or wanking) really...

Still, that "little Chinese girl" comment pisses me off. John Myung could beat the hell out of every single Mastodon member in a second. I mean, has anyone seen his forearms? I was sitting through Live At Budokan looking at his forearms. That guy is a fucking beast.

The original quotes were the result of a loaded question being asked to a complete goofball. Brann from Mastodon called and apologized and Dream Theater aren't pissed at anyone except the mag that asked the question in the first place.

Well not that I look up to Dream Theater much. But these guys (Mastodon) are a real joke. Commenting on their looks is probably the lamest reason for you to dislike a band (yes I admit I'm turned off by Dee Snider but fuck, they're good!). And they aren't cool looking by the way (yes, Mastodon again). They've got a point with DT being overrated, but hey, who isn't? Publicity stint, that's all, I think.

People, read NESS's follow-up story! Its just a big fucking joke that neither of the bands seem to give much of a shit about, so why is everyone still wanting to make an issue of it?

Eh...Dream Theater are pretty much my favorite band, but I'm used to people (my friends) making fun of them so it doesn't bug me too much. Mastodong are a pretty good band, too...listening to Blood Mountain right now.

The difference between Mastodon and Dream theater is that both bands have skilled musicians that masturbate a lot but Mastodon is more awesome and sounds like actual music and not just wankery.
