I'm going to be a turd and bump my own review. Why? Because this CD rules. Not perfect, but well worth checking out if you like melodic death metal. :)

Pfft! Ive had this for over a year

The melodic riffs on this album are just incredible. Although your review alluded to this but didnt actually say it Kenneth  No matter. Good review. :dio: One of the best Aussie bands ive heard. Most are pretty much shit lol.

A solid 85/100

Yeah, but you live in Australia, so...pffft! Someone actually suggested them to me a very long time ago, before the album even came out, it's just taken me this long to find that damn thing.

Definitely one of the best melodeath albums I've heard in years.

No excuses Ken

Its melodeath yes, but you could say there is a little progressive dm in there. Just a pinch.

Well, I don't listen to much death metal, so I refer to blanket statements stating there's some death metal elements. Still, doesn't melodic death metal inherently contain at least some progressive death metal elements?

very solid melodeath, i like how they use more accoustic/clean guitars than most other melodeath bands but not in a way that slows the song down a lot.

Not necessarily. A melodeath band could play similarly to Pathogen without prog dm bits. (the quiet bits, the intro and outro, the long songs, etc)

It would just be an album of "eviscerated"s

But "Eviscerated" is much more a thrash song than a melodeath song.

Dude, this CD is excellent. Aside from the few older tunes I think they should have left behind, this is a badass album!

NP - "Beyond Repent"

I agree. Where can I find this?

The cheapest I found was through Pulverised Records—which I mentioned in the review! :lame:

I got it for $16 through their EBAY STORE. Definitely worth it. Every other place selling it (that I could find) was charging $25 or more.
