I think its just ok. Not really too impressive. I'm just of tired of that one note-one note nu-metallish riffing.

Didn't listen to the song, shitty connection. But the DVD will be cool, I will definitely be getting that.

I think it's fucked up and dumb how Bodom have suddenly become disliked by the underground community (and by many on this forum). What have they done wrong?
They're music still sounds great with nice production and a beat to headbang too. They are definately not mainstream (not in the UK anyway) and their sound has differed little. So why the aggro?

Or is this another one where the old fans who listened to them at the start want the music to sound like Hatebreeder for evera and ever and resent that a band could ever change against their wishes, ie - Fuck you

Change is a good thing. Without it, Therion would still be average death metal, The Gathering would be crappy doom with a wailing girl, Cradle of Filth would still be good and BM fans would have one less thing to complain about, In Flames would still be good and DM fans would have one less thing to complain about, and of course we'd all be in caves hitting rocks together and listening to shitty old Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin.
Ok, maybe change can be a bad thing and a good thing.

HEY! I'm not carrots or a minor character in the Book of Mormon :P
Let me guess, you're a black/death metal Hatebreeder fan with a penchant for Mandylion and feel Therion is superfluous in the death metal portfolio?
Or maybe you're just a luddite and so hate change.

I may be many things, but a moron I am not. However, an opinion may be moronic without condemning the owner

No I'm a Power Metal fan (primarily) who for some reason prefers intricate melodic guitar playing instead of braindead nu metal chugging. I know I should really appreciate that good music just has to sacrificed in favour of change for the sake of change (or money), but damn I'm just an ol' stick in the mud. Right?

I was very disappointed in their last album too. When I heard Roope was going to join the band, I was drooling, expecting the same SINERGY twin guitar solos and shit. But it didn't happen. Damn.

These guys are so talented I can't believe they're "dead". Hopefully, "Are you dead yet" will be a minor setback in their long-great discography.

Laiho, Warman and Roope in the same band ... C'mon guys, you can do better than this.

Still, I'll buy the DVD the second it arrives in the stores.

I always thought they were boring, personally. I enjoy Alexi's work in Thy Serpent and Impaled Nazarene, for his guitar playing in those bands was excellent and intelligent. In Bodom and Synergy he just throws around random wankery, just note on top of note, without any real substance. Of course now, he discovered the marketing power of the horrendous chug, and thinks doing Britney Spears covers are "funny" and "clever", when in reality it's just plain stupid. Maybe the guy should sober up for a few minutes, and write good music like he once knew how to do.

He is on the 'Nihil" album, and it's very obvious, if you catch my drift.

In many situations, IMO people are just being enslaved by the bottle. I heard Alexi is turning up drunk for shows and stuff, pissing off the fans as well. Well maybe it's 'metal' to drink and get wasted. I'm no hypocrite, don't worry, I love getting wasted. But they should realise that they have to put a stop to it when they need to. I'm not sure who to blame for the band Bodom is now. But I strongly feel, alcoholism has a part. They're not severe alcoholics yet, but I see it in the near future.

99% of the people that post on this forum have no idea what nu-metal is.

I don't really like CoB but I don't see why everyone hates Are You Dead Yet?, I mean its still the same candy riffs, awesome guitar/keyboard solos, simple songs and yelling that all of their previous albums have been...

Seems more likely that you comprise the 1% of people that don't.

Anyway, how's this relevant?

I can't believe there are people left so far behind by evolution that they actually believe Gathering 2006 > Gathering mid 1990s.

WHAT THE FUCK
