yes, i know, but i've got to decide if it's really worth the buy. if i haden't downloaded it, i'd have bought it blindy, just for the heck of it.

no, but i've got to decide if it's good enough for me to want to buy it, or if all i need is the downloaded album on my ipod.

although listening a few times it really is a good record and i probably will buy it...

Depending on what people say about the album, I am going to do something I haven't done in a long time; buy an album without downloading it and listening to it first. So far, I havent heard anything bad about it, and I really like The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg, so I think I might. Anyone think this is a bad idea for any reason (ie: Is the album worth buying? How does it compare to their other releases? Etc..)

Well, if you have all of the Bruce Dickinson Iron Maiden releases, I'd say it shouldn't really matter. Just buy it. If you're choosier than that, check out what people are saying. There hasn't been much bad said about it, but there have been complaints of mediocrity.

If you like the classic '80s albums you will probably rate this album 65%. I rated dance of death 70%

Total shit...I never thought I would smash Maiden's album like this. Totally uninspired playing, weak vocals (is it the same dude who sang on Tyranny Of Souls??? )

Only The Legacy offers something more than dull, cliched ironmaidenesque pretending to be progressive...

Perhaps Thousand Suns is a bit better than others too. Beautiful chorus!!!

So what? So Maiden has released second shit...That's because of X-Factor ;)

As I wrote above - uninspired copy of older albums. No progression, just regression... :/

Of course millions of uncritical Maiden fans will buy it. What a joke...

It's better to buy something more valuable. Like the new Satyricon, Celtic Frost, Virgin Steele, Jon Oliva...Whatever.

It's a kind of album that you should download once, and forget. I'm not buying this one - although I have every other album at the shelf...

Yeah, I value their opinions a lot higher than yours.

I'll buy the album later today and post my opinions. Maybe I'll like it, maybe I won't.

As people are saying, it's Maiden ffs! There are still quite a few classics o' theirs I haven't got, but I liked DOD and what I heard of BNW, so I'll get this, although probably not tomorrow.

I'm listening to it right now, but it's too early to form an opinion.

I'm not too happy with the new Maiden. I always liked Iron Maiden best when they were "straightforward"... "progressive" Maiden with 7+ minute songs i don't like the sound of. Everything sounds a bit too uninspired and boring so far. And Bruce's voice really is worn out...

Yes unfortunately

I have flashbacks every time I listen to it. I heard those parts dozens of time in Maiden career :D :D :D

Hmmm, it's Tuesday, which is new release day in the US! I'll see if the shop has it, I didn't want to spoil it with a download, Maiden is just one of those bands.

I used to do the same thing until I bought the last Ozzy album without downloading it first. You know, "Ozzy is one those bands". Didn't like it, and my money was gone.

Now I always download some samples first, and when I like it, I buy it. The new Maiden sounds fine, I'll go for it.
