I can't say what is the best but I have attended in many great concerts. The latest one was Accept at Tuska Festival on 17th of July, 2005. The other concerts that have been great are Running Wild and Pretty Maids in 1990. I really liked Nightwish on their Wishmaster tour. Stratovarius did the same thing on their Destiny tour.
Hammerfall was also cool on their Crimson...tour. And ofcourse U.D.O. kicked ass on their Man And Machine and on Thunderball tour!
And Edguy was also a pleasant surprise last year on their Hellfire Club tour.

1989, Def Leppard, Worcester, MA! First concert ever. Awesome! I still have the shirt! Hahahaha. I used to get drunk in the Air Force and put it on! Hahaha. The sleeves just barely came down on my arms, it was like a tank top! A half-shirt, spandex, Hysteria tank top! Hahaha. There's no way in hell I'd fit into it now, though.

Anyway, that will stand the test of time as my all-time favorite concert! It blew me away!

An honorable mention would be White Zombie, what a visual orgy of coolness, eh?

Suffocation, Satyricon, and Morbid Angel or Goatwhore, Napalm Death, and Cannibal Corpse. It's a tie between those two, they were both amazing shows.

But, Exodus and Napalm Death are coming together next month, so that might take the honors.

GWAR gets honorable mention for not just being a concert, but an all-around show.

New England Metal Fest 2005, for being the second show I'd ever been to and completely blowing my mind (which, really, was related to the fact that the second show I ever went to was a big fest). I remember waking up on Sunday feeling like shit warmed over, and thinking it was the best feeling in the world.

To be honest man it was my second show and I had just gotten out of 8th grade and I went for Raven because I knew All for one (both bands were on Megaforce at the time) Metallica I had never even hear off and the whole thing was fucking crazy compared to the metal we were lisitining to then. I didn't even really get into Metallica until 86 with Ride the Lightining ......so yeah but it is cool to say I saw them way back when (with Raven of all bands) and not be full of shit......

damn I forgot my fave concert of all time. This underground show in Osaka Japan that my friend Toru's band played in. He was in Raging Fury (look them up on Metal Archives) but this band was Sadistic Eyes, plus a Japanese AE clone called Norma Jean and a crazy ass Godflesh soundband that was brutal as fuck and the guy just laid on the floor and shrieked. It was like 3 stories underground and everyone just sat around drinking beer out of the vending machines and clapping politely, crazy. Afterwards everyone helped stow the gear and we went and ate and drank until 7 in the AM.......great times.....
