:roll: I wasn't starting a fight, just trying to get others' input on the topic. Yes, it's a hardcore band. Yes, it sounds like nu-metal. What's the harm, here? Note that the people who responded agreed with me...

I didn't note anything, nor do I care. Nu-metal and hardcore are two very defined genres, this is a hardcore band, to say otherwise is ignorance. It says you either don't know nu-metal, you don't know hardcore, or both. I vote both.

I dunno much about hardcore, but when I expect the singer to scream "GET THE FUCK UP!" right before the rest of the band comes in I think of numetal...

I'm not denying you listen to more of both genres than I do, but I know a simple, downtuned riff when I hear one. It Reminded Me Of Nu-Metal. What, again, is the problem? And why are you starting the insults?

Where the hell did I insult you?? Saying you're ignorant is not an insult! Saying a downtuned riff signifies nu-metal IS IGNORANT!

And what did I fucking say immediately next to it? IT REMINDED ME OF NU METAL. Listen to that song again, and tell me that you don't hear nu-fucking-metal with a straight face. You can't.

As for the insults, you're getting personal - starting fights, ignorant.

Fine. It reminded you of nu-metal. It's not nu-metal, that's the point. And no, it doesn't remind me of nu-metal in the least, it's fucking hardcore. Plain and simple.

Zad, you shouldn't be posting in the thread. You've already stated over and over again that you don't like these guys. I bumped this thread for those that may enjoy it. Your purpose here in this thread is pointless!

THE HORROR AND THE GAG (Video)

I love the keyboards! It looks like the singer for Cellador is in Ramallah, too. I didn't know.

I can't watch any videos right now but the keyboards on their myspace suck horrendously. (On that first song, anyhow, they don't appear much on the others).

The vocalist reminds me of the dude from hed(pe).

Edit: Hmm maybe a bit harsh of me to burst in here like that, but I really do think those keyboards suck.

How do they suck? And if you think he sounds like the dude from (HED)pe you're clearly not very knowledgable on that band. That's not an insult, but Jahred from (HED)pe is high-pitched and whiny. Not even close to this guy.

Personally I find these guys to be one of the best hardcore bands I've heard in at least 5 years.

Many reasons. I hate lazy, single-fingered repeated patterns. The line they're using is a very uninspired, drab one. Also the sound of it is bad, and not in a cool necro way either. It just sounds too thin in the mix, especially given that there's very little support from the left hand. Really just sustained bass notes without a very nice tone setting. At the first verse, when it goes to the first "can you feel it?" bit and the guitars drop out, it sounds so lightweight.



Well, no I'm not knowledgeable on that band (as evidenced by my mispunctuation of their name), but I wasn't suffering from deafness when I heard them either. I'm talking about where Jahred does his screaming bit. Best example I can think of off the top of my head is the bit that comes directly after the softly sung bit in "Killing Time". I wouldn't get confused between them, but nothing can change the fact that the first time I heard them, that musical moment was what I thought of immediately.

I don't know, they keyboards, to me, are meant simply for effect, that eerie Halloween theme song type of thing. I think it works well.

As for (HED)pe, I've been a fan of their since their Church Of Realities EP and I just can't think of any single moment Jahred has every sounded like Rob from Ramallah/Blood For Blood.

But hey, it's not like I ever expected a hardcore album to go over well here.
