Rhapsody of Fire - Triumph or Agony

The way Ken was talking about this I have to hear it for myself.

Well that was a waste of an hour.

Shit.

Idk others may like it. I've never really given Rhapsody too much of a listen. This is probably the first time I've listened to an album of theirs all the way through. This just seemed like it lacked anything of substance. Lots of choirs going "ahh haa" and such but it was like an album of build up. One major problem though, it didn't build up to anything. Every once in a while a riff could be found. Lots of gay and no :dio: .

Galneryus - Shiver

This Japanese neoclassical/power metal band is incredible: fast, melodic, great solos, excellent soaring vocals and fantastic songwriting. Their latest album 'Beyond the End of Despair' will be in my top ten for the year.

They have a very 80's vibe about them.

Eldritch - Save Me

This is one of the few great songs of a nice album. Unfortunately the sometimes heavy riffs and nice melodies are spoiled by the slight out of tune vocals. Eldritch tries to be original by incorporating near thrash riffing and almost hardcore vocals on some songs, but it somehow feel out of place among the more regular power metal songs.

MetalNESS you will like this. Great Freedom Call worship by this German band off their 2005 release Legends of Safar.

Edu Falaschi - Break all the Welds

Solo album from Angra's shredder and not too bad at all. Good prog/power sounding very similar to Angra.

Vocalists generally don't shred. :P

Once again, thanx for pointing out my stupid mistake. No I am actually referring to Edu's solo album, althought Kiko's aren't bad either.

I want to hear Edu's album - he got together a really good line-up. I'm also curious to hear how Vuorinen is as a lead guitarist.
