I sign on and this grew 10 pages. Hails to Valefor, Deathkvlt, Kathaarian, ect. for not getting your heads stuck up your asses. And thank you WinterisComing for making me laugh my ass off. It looks like, until today, you suffered from a case of "phantom annoyances." People you get annoyed at the general sterotype of something even though it's, for the most part, not true, but you take it as truth and hate a whole group.

Anyway, to all those 14 years and buying records, I'm 15 years and do the most sterotypical thing possible. I use lunch money to get my albums. Yep, I'm not ashamed.

I am glad I made you laugh, too bad the humor was lost on others who take their music way too serious. I don't hate anyone, but after this thread I think some might really hate me, I just hope they don't go and hurt someone in their rage. No human sacrificing, not in my name at least.

And please no voodoo dolls. Cannibalism is ok, but only if you have no other choice. And please donate blood instead of wasting it to sign the contracts with the devil, it can save lives! And please don't torture helpless animals, especially kitties. :cry:

Well it seems to me that the majority of you guys are siding with black metal. Thats fine and dandy, I however, always root for the underdog....that being thrash. Now to resurrect my hypothetical question on fighting.

If Black Metal was a person, and thrash metal was a person......now think long and hard, who would win?

Taking this into account

Black metal - More Satanic

Thrash metal - More brutal

Black metal - more extreme and fantatical

Thrash metal - beer guzzling slobs

Taking these things into account I would have to again take thrash metal by a hair. If the two were to fight I would take the grizzle bearded drunken flying "V" wielding thrashers over the fanaticaly satanic black metallers in their unholy corpse paint. But sadly most black metal guys are skinny philosophy quoting pacifists....where as thrashers will get drunk, play a couple of shredding solos, and then down pick your face in while barking lyrics about killing someone and making a coat out of him (thank you Vio-lence).

So I guess Black metal is not as effective in whipping up a killing frenzy as thrash.....and I am taking into account the fact that Black Metal is responsible for more death than thrash metal.....but this is black metal on black metal crime.....not on thrash, which would defend itself with some Celtic Frost and Autopsy albums as sheilds.

Marduk is as Black Metas as Dimmu. So if those bands are the ones who are going to involved in this fight, then it gives me even more confidence that thrash will win. ANd yes it is faster, and more interesting. Too much monotony in black metal. That plus phrasing is almost wholly neglected as the lyrics are unintellegable. Thats not a problem with me, because I do love some good ole BM.....but thrash metal is the superior genre in my opinion both in heaviness and in musical accomplishment.
