This band has the best name ever. Metal Church :dio:

I liked Mirror of lies and A light in the dark but I didn't really feel like listening to the whole thing, the review intrigued me to do so. I will be getting it, good review.

Mirror of Lies kills! It's totally amazing. The rest of the album never gets near it, but its still a solid release.

Anyone else think Ronny Munroe sounds a little like Biff Byford?

Nice review Mike, this album is really good, lets face it, there isnt such a thing as bad Metal Church album, and i do agree that Ronny improved a lot on this album.

Was wondering when this was going to be reviewed here, since it's already been out for a while.

So far I've only heard A Light In The Dark & Beyond All Reason and wasn't that impressed at first, but after repeated listens i'm really liking these two tracks so i'll probably end up buying this.

I've heard all of their albums them from Metal Church - Hanging In The Balance (the only one I actually own ), but nothing since then. There's something about their songs that I really like, no matter if they're more thrash oriented or softer slow/mid-paced songs.

I've had this for a few days now, and all I can say is wow. This album is great! I get that 80's chill running down my spine everytime I play it. This could have been released back then and fit right in. No trying to modernize nonsense, just in your face vintage Metal Church. Ronny Munroe is an awesome vocalist, and might even be better than Mike Howe. There's speed, aggresion, and songs like Temple of the Sea bring downright beautiful melodies. The Mirror of Lies is one of the best songs I've heard this year. If you like any of the Church's old albums, you need this in your collection. I guarantee it will be stuck in you CD player for quite some time. This album is miles ahead of Masterpeace and Weight of the World combined. Hail Kurdt Vanderhoof!
