The leap wasn't between Ceremony and Passages, it was the ep in between. Ceremony is straight up Worship Him and Blood Ritual with more a streamlined approach (ie better prodcution)

Did you just kind of repeat what I said? The Rebellion EP was still heavier, though. Different, sure, but Passage was where things drastically changed.

I don't think they were as gradual as bands such as Amorphis, Katatonia, Tiamat, Anathema, The Gathering and others who let it come naturally. Sameal just shifted all the sudden. From play occult, plodding BM to whatever the fuck passage is.

You totally just repeated me there. Cut the shit, leeeeeee!

I am just confirming your correct opinion in a more intelligent manner then you......

Dude, you can make fun of grammer all you want, but the bottom line is, I do and will always own you. You just can go on and on with your stupid opinions until even I am bored and don't care anymore.

If you spent the last 7 years of your life only communicating with ESL or ETL people via email, talking and teaching, I would love to see your grammer.

Better at what? Being an argophobic nerd that hacks away at message boards all day looking to PWN people? K, you win.

Better at having crappy taste in music then me.....again you win.

Knowing the inside scope on the salad days of the Little Rock Metal scene, cool, you win.

To answer the original question, why don't people talk about Samael more.

I feel it's because of 2 reasons

1) They haven't released a Metal CD in quite some time and while the eletronic themed music they're releasing these days isn't bad, it's not what most Metal heads listen to so it's easy to forget they once played Black Metal.

2) Because Samael were not from Norway they get lost in most "classic" Black Metal discussions. People just kind of forget about them as they automatically think of the original Norwegian bands. It's kind of like Coroner with Thrash Metal. Because Coroner were not from the United States or Germany it's easy to forget about them. I'll give you an example. When you think classic Black Metal people automatically think of Mayhem, and then all those Norwegian bands who were involved in that scene come to mind. Samael gets lost in the shuffle it seems.

Though not from their early material, I still remember seeing the video for Jupiterian (sp?) Vibe on the Power 30 on Much Music in Canada when I was 12 and being completely blown away. I still haven't heard many things like that song.

It's so funny you said that, I saw that video on tv here when I was like 12-13 and it was the best thing I'd heard until then.

Of course then I heard the album and it sucked and I hate Samael, but that song still has a place in me.

Twice? I haven't touched a boobie in over a year, but that's a personal choice.

I'm sexier than you, too.
