i have a list of demands. if they are not met, i will carry on as if nothing happened, so you better watch out... bitches.

1. emoticons (or something)
Image :fear:
Image :rox:
Image :rox2:
Image :rules:
Image

and last but not least,
Image (lolz)

these are to be introduced immediately, if not sooner.

2. Classics
Sepultura's Arise and BNR haven't been reviewed yet. well?
seriously though, i don't mind reviewing those two, i just want them to get the praise they deserve on this fine website.

also the team could put together a list of 5 albums, and people would vote on the next one from the list to be given the "classic" treatment.

3. Concert Reports
forumites often go to concerts, and it would be cool to let them write reports for the weekly updates, especially on bands that haven't been reported on concert-wise. volunteers/thoughts?

4. User rankings
4.1 - me
I DEMAND TO BE DEMOTED TO METAL SLAVE!! i've said a 1000 times that Metal Slave is a far cooler title than Einherjar or Metal King or some other gay shit.

4.2 - New users
new users should have the ranking "poser". it's funny.

4.3 - Other users
i see no Metal Warrior rank. well?

5. Arguments
Arguments on a subject are one thing, but if you guys must argue about personal shit that has nothing to do with the topic, please use pm's or e-mail or something. i think this would benefit everyone.

This was written in a half-joking half-serious way, but i honestly want to be demoted to Metal Slave and i really think a "headbanging" emoticon would be nice.

I want all of these smileys gone. I have others that are better suited to show that people are joking and such. These here now are somewhat vague in general. Plus they look stupid.

Not sure about all those moving smileys. Too many of them make forums look like websites circa 1990. You know, remember these:

But this smiley is cool: Image

And, how about Emo Slave? We can make that happen.

I like that list of demands. The part about voting for classics is a great idea.

see? we need this emoticon. we need it.

There's a big difference between the ones i posted and that corny skull one you posted. the skull one reminds me of old websites, but not the others.

edit - visit that relentless records website (where the skull is hosted)

Yeah, great idea, but we then have to get someone to review the album. If you haven't noticed, the number of reviews have dropped lately.

I may do an Anacrusis CLASSIC review this week or next.

Yes, you have a point there. We need reviewers to review metal, not ambient/jazzy/porn groove/noise.

some reviewers seem to have disappeared - Jay, Ben, Crims... what happened? did they get tired of the website? busy with life in general?

it's off topic but i thought i'd ask.

what do you think about live reports? for example, crast is going to Wacken 2006 i think, it'd be great to have a report on that (if he wanted to do one, of course). for big shows or shows from bands that don't have live reports here yet i think it'd be cool to have user input.

I havent dissapeared. While in 2006 my output has been reduced drastically I still manage to have an interview a month and will now be a bit more on top of things with reviews and editorials.

Basically what happened is I had such a glut of ideas and topics to write about that I simply "froze" if you will. After a few weeks of that it became harder and harder to start back up. I know this seems hard to believe but its true. Nevertheless I'll be picking things up again.
