On the idea that the band now have almost nothing in common with traditional black metal, Allender told Terrorizer, "Everyone's gonna hate me for saying this, but I didn't think we had in the first place. The only thing that catered to that was the make-up. That's it. People say, 'Blah blah, sellouts, not true black metal,' but we were never a black metal band in the first place. Even when 'The Principle of Evil Made Flesh' [1994] came out — you look at EMPEROR and BURZUM and all that stuff — we didn't sound nothing like that. The way that I see it is that we were, and still are now, an extreme heavy metal band."

Yup. That's what I've been saying all along. So if anyone still hates them for being vntrve and sellouts: in your face. They were never black metal to begin with.

I can't wait for the new album. Here's the cover:

What a great magazine that Terrorizer is. Do you read it, Dogan, or is it just off their website?

And meh @ n00 Cough.

Terrorizer runs good articles, nut a lot of their reviews suck unbelievable quantities of bollocks. If I've never heard of the band being reviewd, its very possible I can read the entire pretentiously-worded thing and come out the other side not having a clue what the album sounds like.

Still better than anything else the UK has to offer, though.

I know what you mean. They like the sound of their own voices, certainly. Still, that's why teh intarnet is there - research it if your interest's awoken!

I find all the "metal" magazines uninteresting.
