No.

But, I just read this;

Quote:
QUESTION:
When is Avantasia III coming out? - Stevo

TOBIAS:
Hey Stevo. I am never going to continue the story, simply because it would not be right. It was never meant to be continued, if I'd do it now it wouldn't make sense to me. But I am sure someday I'll do something equivalent. Some epic project with guests and all the experience that I have gathered throughout the years. The project name could be Avantasia, as this is the association that I love, but the story wouldn't be called Avantasia. I wouldn't want to continue a story that has already ended. Let's wait and see. As soon as I feel the time is right I'll let you know, but my duty is to compete against a legendary Avantasia part 1. And that's a heavy duty! I won't come out of my hole until I am certain I can blow away anything else, without releasing a cheap copy. But I will be there!

Hmmm...why call it Avantasia if the story is different? I look forward to it either way!

Why? He it still going to do a new epic in the future. It's just not going to be an Avantasia epic.

But I was hoping it would be soon. Not a "sometime" thing.

But really, I hope he doesn't do it RIGHT now with his current mindset.

When he wrote Avantasia - he was in the post Edguy ToS era and was getting ready to release Mandrake at the same time (Edguy's best album IMO).

With the recent release of Rocket Ride (Which I do like), I hope he doesn't do a solo album as with his current mindset of 'Metal taking itself too serious' it would probably be about a zebra getting stuck on an elevator.

Once he gets over this 'non-serious' hard-rock metal era he's in right now, then I'll be ready for a new solo album from him.

Best idea for an album ever, limitless possibilities says I.

Anyways, I think a whole new story under the name of Avantasia would be awesome. Just because it isnt in the same universe as the original story means nothing to me.

Yeah, seriously, fuck off. Talk about your super tech bands and leave the good songwriters to us.

Generally, musicians don't get over things like this, but that's not to say Edguy won't continue down the more rock-oriented road while his next solo album is like the first two Avantasia albums.

A band is only as good as their last album, right? Edguy is on a different path and will likely not go back to that faster power metal. Avantasia, however, never had that chance to evolve, so who knows.

I think Edguy have been going down the more streamlined route over the last two albums because Toby was 'all epiced out' after recording the two Avantasias and Mandrake in the same year.

Hopefully he'll go back to something more epic eventually.

Yeah and noodles stop being such a miserable troll. Or keep it up - failed attempts at l33t are funny.

Part 2 sucked, one was great though, no reason to drive the project further into the dirt right?

Hey Noodles, if they do they are idiots. I like the first Avantasia album, is fun shit, maybe a 6/10 but a fun listen. Part two reeked and no, people that really like Heavy Metal (myself included don't take shit like Avantasia serious) we just enjoy it and have fun with it, and then when it runs its course (like part2) we abandon it and find more good metal bands to listen.

Seriously, you fuckers actually take "the Metal Opera" serious? ha ha

I didn't mean it was bad, I just meant would it really change that much if the lyrics aren't serious? It is power metal after all, they do sing about dragons...
