I'm going today. Have to sit through a bunch of shit to see the bands that are actually worth something. Oh well, should still be pretty fun. I've never seen any of these bands live before. I can't wait for Behemoth.

As I Lay Dying
In Flames
Trivium
Cannibal Corpse
Terror
Black Dahlia Murder
Behemoth
The Chariot
Through The Eyes Of The Dead
GWAR
Converge
Evergreen Terrace
Horse The Band

Wow, I'd watch about three of those. What's bloody underground about Trivium, for goodness' sake?

Well I want to see Cannibal Corpse too. Shadows Fall will also be at the one here. I've never heard of Converge. What are they like?

I don't know, they bore me on record. Maybe live would be good.

Converge are a cult hardcore band, with a bit of grind to keep things interesting. Very love/hate, though.

if you give them the chance most metalcore bands are actually pretty good live, or at least most of the ones on last years sotu

Converge are probably one of the first metalcore bands, and the afaik the only band that can still give me a headache while playing structured music.

Like them or not, Cannibal Corpse are really impressive live. Seeing someone play that fast and that precise for a long set is amazing. They don't miss a single note.

It was pretty fun, I only got up front for Behemoth, Corpse, Shadows Fall, and In flames though.

The rest of the bands pretty much sucked ass.

Behemoth kicked ass but the crowd was a bunch of fucking posers and didn't get into it at all. It really pissed me off.

Same thing happened at the Gwar show here Monday Night. During the more Thrashy parts, the kids just sat their dumbfounded, and would mosh during the slow parts. WTF?
