"Meh" and "it's ok" means "I really don't want to admit to liking this, but I do."

Flesh Storm, Catalyst, Jihad (aside from the AC/DC riff), Consfearacy, Cult, and Black Serenade are all pretty old school-sounding Slayer tracks.

The others are more of the newer styled stuff. Not a bad album, fairly typical for all eras of Slayer, which I've always thought were overhyped/rated.

Either way, the guitar tone is too bottom-heavy.

I'm liking pretty much every Slayer track I hear at the moment, even from their groove period and the punk covers, so the odds are I'll like the new one. Still haven't got around to actually buying an album of theirs yet, but they all seem freakin' expensive whenever I look.

Has no-one heard the new Voivod? The track I heard from it's great!

What the fuck is it with thrash band's guitar tone nowadays? More treble and mid, only about half bass and fairly high distortion bring out the best thrash tone. Fuck all this crap sounding riffing.

Suicide Watch-Global Warning has a fuckin awesome guitar tone.

Cheers for opening my eyes to SW Zad.

I like the way that when the singer screams he is very clearly English.

I'm gonna have to buy the album when I get my hands on some cash.

Yeah, it's one of the reasons I love Cathedral - you can easily hear the accent.

And I'm having trouble finding it, for some reason. Pity. And they've got another coming out soon, apparently. :D

I'll order it off the net because I'd never even seen the CD before.

I'd love to see a gig with Municipal Waste, Suicide Watch and Cryptic Slaughter. Crossover madness!

There's some good bands about. Heard of Evile? They played with Xentrix (sp?) a little while back.

Yeah, Evile pwn. No idea how to pronounce it though. I thought I knew the UK Thrash scene really well until you mentioned Suicide Watch. If you haven't heard Pitiful Reign, they're one of the better UK thrash abnds.

This album is their best since Seasons. Flawed, but a lot better than the previous three. Cult, Flesh Storm, Consfearacy, Supremist and a few others make me forgive the boring ones. It's good to see Slayer alive and kicking again.

Hopefully, when it's released, Slayer will post the entire album on their website for our listening pleasure the way they did with God Hates Us All. I like Cult so I'm definitely looking forward to hearing this.

Again, what the fuck are you talking about? I WOULD LOVE TO LIKE THE NEW SLAYER BUT I DONT. ITS NOT THAT GREAT.

Meh for me. The way some people were hyping this up I expected better. It sounds like an honest attempt but left me kinda bored. Besides the silly lyrics I liked Cult though.

Listening to it now. Sounds surprisingly fresh, for Slayer. I'm positively surprised so far. Ok, still only on the first song, but whatever ...
