I sent this to Eisen back when I was gone, but it's good enough to post here as well. Glow, a Spanish Doom band.

http://personales.jet.es/gutierrez/

They're quite psychedelic. Very heavy, reminds me of Electric Wizard and Rev. Biz. They've got one full-length out, "Gone But Never Forgotten". Good stuff.

I received the Umbra Nihil / Aarni split from lizardtail while he was still posting here. Very good stuff. I'll try some of the samples here when I get home. I am at work right now => no speakers and a boss who has no love for doom.

If any of the posters here (seasoned doomsters or curious newcomers to the genre) are interested I'll be happy to upload sample songs from my collection. Maybe that way I can sow some seeds of doooom on these forums  . If any of you want to taste something before buying it do PM me and I'll see what I can do.

I would but theres no doom at my local shop! I wish there was! Its all pm dm and metalcore, and even a bunch of underground bm stuff, but fuck all doom!

Actually, what are Om like if youve heard them.

And what do Ohm actually play if anyone knows????

Get onto Pandora. There's full tracks there, make a new station.

Om are quite nice. My home internet connection is a bit sucky right now, but I can send you some samples when it gets better (within the next few days. I have called a technician). Until then try Pandora like Zad suggested. How much doom are you familiar with?

Fuck all. Sabbath, Kyuss (i know its stoner but its in the ballpark), a bit of Reverend Bizzare and Cathedral, Nortt, Elysian Blaze (If it even is doom, funeral doom that is), A bit of Katatonia, I have a nadja/moss split, some Sunn o))), And ive heard a tiny bit of Eyehategod, which was pretty cool. And right now on pandora im hearing some electric wizard, which rips.

So like, tiny

The Wizzadh does indeed rule (at least Dopethrone which is the only EW album I have... Yet). I'll dig something up for you. I have been given a lot of good advice in my doom thread and I have been investing rather extensively in the genre lately.

Elysian Blaze – Cold Walls and Apparitions
Krieg – Sono Lo Scherno
Vinterriket – Lightschleier
Sapthuran - …In Hatred
Nachtmystium – Instinct:Decay
Meads of Asphodel – Exhuming the Grave of Yeshua

Lunar Aurora – Ars Moriendi
Katatonia – Discouraged Ones
Velvet Cacoon – Genevieve
Emperor – Emperor/Wrath of the Tyrant
Urfaust - Gesit ist Teuful
Blood Red Fog – self-titled

Thats what ive got coming in the mail.

Then i think ill try and get Dopthrone, Forest of Equilibrium, maybe some Reverend Bizzare, Eyehategods debut (terrorizer reckons its good) and the Thergothon album.

Woo, this is good. Pod People, more stoner-y doom with gruff vocals. Think Clutch gone Sludge, good stuff. They've been around since 1991, and only have one album out, 2002's ''Doom Saloon''.

Black Sun, from Scotland. One for the Iron Monkey/EyeHateGod sludgers. They market themselves as being very heavy, although they don't seem that heavy to me, just like the others mentioned above (I should listen to less grindcore, shouldn't I?). Screamed vocals, has a nice bluesy tinge at times.

Anyway, there's definately tunes to be discerned, so even the namby-pamby tr00-d00mers (looks at Eyesore) should try this out. They have a track on the newest album (out last April) called ''Burn My Eyes''. I doubt it's a Machine Head reference. :)

Big spender huh? Remember not to buy faster than you can enjoy.. I meant to send you some samples earlier but my connection disconnects all the time. I'm having it fixed as soon as that no-good lazy technician gets to me.

I just sent a small package of samples containing some Reverend Bizarre, some Candlemass, some Esoteric, some Om, some Electric Wizard and some St. Vitus to following the reaper. If anyone else is interested in the samples, PM me and I'll send you the link.

Which Esoteric do you have? I've been looking for Metamorphogenesis for a long time, but I'm having no luck with the usual places I go to for CD's.

Darn! I have that actual cd and I also have it on my dead computer. I hope EisenFaust can help you; I would have been happy to send you that stuff.

I fucking love Consummatum Est

http://www.myspace.com/consummatumest

Italian funeral doom, and that label is more accurate here than in most cases. There's a real serious classical "requiem" influence that you won't hear in a lot of other funeral bands. The only band that I've heard using that type of inspiration convincingly is Pantheist. (http://www.myspace.com/pantheistuk)

Goddamnit Epistemological Despondency by Esoteric is such a great album. For me this is really the peak so far for avant-garde ultra-doom. KO's Sunn 0)))), Khanate etc.
