I would actually consider Otep better. At least they have some energy in a few songs.
But then again, it might be rather pointless do discuss which one is better between bands like these :roll:

I just bought their new one for $2 for my brother, but he has it already so I'm stuck with it. I gave a once-through and it wasn't as bad as I expected. The mellow songs are the best.

Otep is so bad its funny.

Also, it conects to a charming little anecdote about my developing musical tastes and 'toughness' quite nicely.

About 4 years ago someone gave me a loan of their first album and I was thinking "Man what is this....noise? Its just too much for my ears!" Then like a year ago I heard a few of their songs on a website and I was all like "lolz."

True story.

Now that I'm listening to House of Secrets again, it aint that horrible actually. There are far worse bands that pretend to be death metal or whatever.
