I didn't think they were that special at first, give them more time!!! Although that was when my taste in 'death' metal limited to like Dark Tranquillity and At The Gates... so that might have been more of the reason.

I've heard so many different bands over a few years now and Death brought nothing new or interesting to my music collection. If I heard them when I was just getting into metal I'm sure things would be different though.

I'm listening to the new Ihsahn... i dunno it sounds kind of goofy and unfocused to me. Like he has a lot of cool ideas but they dont really click together for me.

I think the new Ihsahn is awesome, but I can understand people not liking it.


Dark Tranquillity is definitely a winner here. They just are an awesome band. Incredibly consistent yet they don't put out the same album everytime. Projector and Character are very different yet they both kick ass. Most bands can't do that.

I find Death kinda boring now, apart from stuff from the last album. And hell, everything's opinion.
