Shuffle vs listening to whole albums?

Certain genres need to be listened to from beginning to end; doom, black. Concept albums are the same way. I can't listen to Blind Guardian - NIME unless it's beginning to end.

I always listen to full albums, unless I'm pressed for time. I don't own an Ipod, I can think of a million things that $500 would be better spent on. More albums would be the first one, a massive pot binge would be the second.

Both, mostly full albums, but shuffling is great when i dont know what to listen to ,but when i found something i want to hear i listen to the whole album.

I find I have way to many CDs now, and there is so many I want to listen to at once and I rarely ever have more than about 2-3 hours where I can just sit around listening to music. So usually (if its the first time Ive heard a band, or a band's new album) I'll do my best to listen from start to finish. Most of the time however, I find it fun to mix and match different bands to make an entertaining music list. I like making my own mixed albums and then giving them stupid names, like the other day I made one called, My Balls Are Mighty: The Official CD of My Nuts. Tis fun.
