Ok here is my opinion on most of black metal and black metal fans: most of it are just posers riding the money train which requires very little talent. The fans are mostly lonely frustrated teens who are not happy with their everyday lives and dream of immortality and decapitating all their authorities (parents, teachers, bosses, etc.) and want to be differend from the rest so much, they want to be misunderstood on purpose because they like it it makes them feel superior as if only they know some secret knowledge, while all other normal fools are ignorant of it. And it gives them pride and power to act like geniuses that know everything about something as important as black metal, because o them it is the most important thing in this world.

close enough?

MONEY train???? You're joking are you? All those Lmt releases bring money? I don't think they get anything from those sellings. And about teens: I live quite a happy live, I have a lot of friends (not only BM heads), I'm not a computer freak also...
And Valefor isn't a teenager...

I was astounded by the "money train" comment as well, Frater Desolate, I mean that is the most ridiculous comment thus far.

Don;t get me wrong, Thrash is cool (Destruction, Sodom, Kreator etc,) but it is a device of humans, and so confined to human spheres... Black Metal is a tapping of the occult forces that are hidden (mostly) from men; whether anthems of power for dark kings (Judas Iscariot-Heaven in Flames, Emperor-In The Nightside Eclipse, Satyricon-DMT, Shadowthrone) or a transcendence from the material world of the mundane (Xasthur, Leviathan, Nachtmystium, Black Funeral) or straight up misanthropic onslaught (Darkthrone, Mutiilation, Vlad Tepes, Maniac Butcher, Tsjuder, Dark Funeral, Mayhem) or the aural equivalent of disembodied souls unleashed to haunt the gloomy night (Gehenna) or folk inspired, pagan, NSBM (Nokturnal Mortum, Graveland, Drudkh)... not to mention Ulver, who are some of all of those mentioned above.
As you can see Black Metal is not only diverse, but transcends the realm of mere mortals.
While caught in a Black Metal trance, it is like an astral experience, a taste of immortality, a glimpse into a world between worlds.
Those of you that are into this genre will know exactly of what I speak.
Many Hails!

HAILS!!! And after that you say I'll be a better reviewer???

Not to me ... you obviosly fail to grasp what this art is about, so why bother? Stick to your transparent all-on-the surface mundane, metallum generica, if you will, but do not criticize that which you do not understand, which becomes ever more apparent with each of your comments.

Hails once more!

Many cheers, Frater Desolate!

I think he was spouting off to me, but thats cool, we BM heads have to stick together, and he has puled over your posts in the past, as well.

at the very first, i thought holy_terror was a fag, i realized he wasn't for some time now and i learned a lot from the guy (he shouldn't start talking about bm though). anyways, WinterIsComming took his old seat.

HAHA! My apologies to you Azrael, I completely misunderstood your post and feel foolish for blasting you... disregard my attack. once again, my apologies for the unecessary assault, mea culpa.

exactly: how convenient, you record an album (the hardest part of which is putting on the costume and face paint and posing as a tough guy for a camera, receive a nice paycheck, then maybe travel to see the world while doing a few gigs and cheat on your wife while away from home, then come back home to your boring job as computer programmer. Repeat as necessary until someone in the band goes nuts and decides to try some human sacrificing.
