I just hope it's not the best song they got on the album. Didn't crush my hopes or anything, I'm sure it'll rule, but the song is a little bit... meh.

Yeah... this is kinda iffy. Not horrible though so the album might be pretty good. I like how the song goes around 1:15 and the solos are really cool.

Dude where would you place Mastodon? I'd call them everything metal. Prog-sludge just isn't enough. And I wanted the most attention and it's in this forum.

I heard them a while back, wasn't impressed, but recently I've heard a few songs that I was really diggin', so I thought about checking them out.

I'm sure you'll love Leviathan, go get it. It's a fail-safe album for any metalhead, imo.

I love Mastodon but that song didn't do it for me. I was just at their concert last thursday and they rocked the place. Biggest sound I've ever heard from a metal band, and I don't mean just loud (and they were insanely loud) but just a massive head crushing wave of sound coming at you.

This is old news, Dogan! I love the new track, though. The percussion at the beginning, that first riff...great.

Hmmm... funny, I thought I did in the Mastodon topic in Avant-Garde, but 'tis gone! :shock: Someone there did say it'd be up that friday, so you should have remembered.

Still, not really getting at you. It's a great new track.
