mmm sorry to dissapoint you but it's been out since may 9th, here in canada.... Why would I even bother downloading something that costs as low as $12.99 CAN(http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FSM2115569&catid=13471) ?

You sonofabitchin' Canadian! That's very odd that it was released in Canada first. Who does that? Honestly.

Honestly, I was surprised when you mentionned it wasn't out yet...

That is fucking weird, especially considering they're from Pennsylvania! Hehe. It likely has to do with the American musical climate. Now, bands like Live do well overseas, or outside the US, they flop like dicks in jello in the US. It's sad.

both are good guitar oriented hard-rock listens.

Ugh...Hoobastank. What happened to them! Once a great quasi-rap alternative rock band, now a sappy emo cliche. I won't say they're bad because they're not, but no longer are they unique.

what album sounds emo to you ?? apart from the title track, The reason is pretty much straight post-grunge hard-rock, same with the self-titled which had the great Crawling in the dark. I haven't heard their new release "every man for himmself" yet, though.

The Flower Kings - Paradox Hotel
I bought it although I have read nothing but slating reviews and I don't regret it at all. Sometimes I have the feeling that reviewers (not at this site of course) just skip through an album to detect that there "is nothing new" and then write down their ready-made holier-than-thou boilerplates.

The only one I don't yet own.

I just hit the used bins before my real estate class, got some good shit for cheap (some mail-order stuff, too):

Bombay Black - Anger Management
Alice Cooper - Dragontown
Hydrogyn - Bombshell
Enuff Znuff - Seven

We'll see about this Enuff Znuff CD. I only remember their gay little 80's hit, but apparently their debut was somewhat of a corporate-forced glam-fest. I guess the following album have all been hard rock, no glam. They're still around, too, so I can't imagine them doing glam still. Hehehe. The CD was $2.99 so we'll see...

Jack Russell - For You

A VERY mellow album. :? He's one of the most underrated vocalists out there, though.

$2.99 each:

Dr. Sin - Shadows Of Light
Drivin N Cryin - Drivin N Cryin

No idea who Dr. Sin is, but it looks like metal/rock, I'm going with rock, but I just got home with it, haven't listened yet. Roland Grapow guests on a song.

EDIT: Dr. Sin is a shitty doctor. Light and fruity, with no balls. :(

How's that Drivin N Cryin? Fly Me Courageous still gets heavy rotaion in my stereo to this day.

I listened briefly, sounded a bit mellow, more of a modern rock album. It came out in the mid-90s so that's no surprise. Their early stuff is excellent, though!

Nuno - Shizophonic

I have been seeing this album for like 10 years now, but never bought it. This is Nuno from Extreme, if I recall correctly this was his first solo album (could be wrong, though). Anyway, it was $4 so I bought it. Now, I've never paid much attention to the artwork, it's just a good-looking chick on the cover...right? NOPE! Fucking shit! That's Nuno! You know you'd hit it!

But you'd hit it, don't lie.

Good CD, by the way.
