Wow, a lot of stuff to go through. It will take me time to go through all of it so it'll be a while I can come back with an opinion of all the stuff, but thank you all anyway! And Crast, the reason I have Edge of Sanity - Crimson is because of how well you spoke of it :) .

Behemoth is amazing! How did I not get into this earlier? Time to continue acquiring albums.

Behemoth - Satanica will blow you away. Behemoth's Death Metal-era are all fantastic, actually.

Yeah Demigod is actually the first I got. I also got Thelema.6, which I have yet to listen to. What about their Black Metal days, should I just get the entire Discography?

:D

Best song ever!

I like thier other CDs aswell, but they have a tendency to be a bit uneven.

As for Behemoth, I think they're BM period is pretty cool, but the production is pretty lacking for me.

Thelema.6 is fucking awsome though, I love the break in 'Inaugration of Scorpio Dome'. Plus, they're fucking insane live!

.:crast:.

You can't go wrong with either Crimson album, if you ask me. I'd recommend Dan's Moontower album, also, it's brilliant!

If Nile and Behemoth blow you away, definitely check out Hate Eternal's I, Monarch. If you like a wide variety of music, Opeth's Blackwater Park is a must own, IMHO.

On a modern grind tip, two recent classics are Nasum's Helvete and Agoraphobic Nosebleed's Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope. Guaranteed to destroy your eardrums and annoy your neighbors.

I second Behemoth and Nile. I suggest you get Annihilation Of The Wicked and/or In Their Darkened Shrines by Nile; especially if you are fascinated with ancient Egyptian mythology, as I am. If this has not been suggested, early Fisher-era CC(i.e. Tomb Of The Mutilated). Of course, Cannibal Corpse can get tiring; and, when this is the case, we turn to bands such as the previously mentioned Nile, Behemoth, Opeth, etc., or other bands that utilize ambience.

YES! But get Sventevith first. Its the best, so if you dont like it, you can prolly skip the other bm Behemoth releases.

Are you sure? I thought that Barnes' last album with them was The Bleeding, and their next album(with Fisher) was Tomb Of The Mutilated.

Edit: No, wait, you are right, TOTM was released before The Bleeding. I'm not sure how I got that mixed up.

Whoaaa... been getting a lot of this stuff. I'm digging Arsis. Celebration of Guilt is awesome. Noctambulant is very good as well. Gorguts I'm liking.... uhh... Holy crap, there's way too much to list. I'm just loving it though. Kronos is good French Death Metal. The new Necrophobic is good too, and Necrophagist as well. Nocturnus' The Key slays, and Vital Remains Dechristianize is a masterpiece. Thanks for all the reccomendations... there's still a bunch more I have to look into (mainly Kayla and Dago's reccomendations). As for the new Terrorizer... what's up with Ghost Train, the last track? It feels too fruity.

I'm shocked and disgusted that Napalm Death are not in this thread.

Also try:

Corpsing
Immolation
Blood Ritual
Cephalic Carnage
Rotten Sound
General Surgery
Happy Face
Nekkrosis
Mithras
Avulsed
Infestation
Abortarium
Terrorust
Desecration (UK) - has an ex-member of Funeral For A Friend!
http://www.myspace.com/desecrationuk - Bacterial Breakdown is a fucking awesome song...

Apols if any have popped up before, couldn't be bothered checking.
And if you need any links, feel free to PM me, although Archives should be all you need...

Nobody said Atheist!!! Get them, and afterwards you can check out those crazy russians Hieronymus Bosch.

You also need some old school swedish dm, Grave and Dismember. As for Edge Of sanity, check out Purgatory Afterglow and The Spectral Sorrows, I find those better than Crimson.

And obviously carry on with the Behemoth quest. You've got Demigod and Thelema, now you need to jump on Zos Kia Cultus, Satanica and Pandemonic Incantations. And speaking of blackened death, go for Necrophobic, Belphegor and God Dethroned.

Children of Bodom (Hatebreeder)

You should get Norther - Dreams of Endless War
and also Skyfire - Spectral

Both those albums are very like bodom. Especially Dreams of Endless War.

I have Skyfire - Spectral. I prefer it over CoB's Hatebreeder actually. Can't help but sing along all I can. I also very much enjoy Martyr's Warp Zone. The singing may not be the best but the techincality is great. Oh, and Zad, i got all the Napalm Death I could. And I had forgotten about Cephalic Carnage - Anomolies... there are no words to describe its greatness.

Right now I'm listening to Martyr's Hopeless Hopes. As for all of you. Ever heard Theory in Practice? It's some good Progressive Death Metal. I enjoy it much.
