These bands are the best evah!

it's rather pointless to use the word "true".. it only makes sense if you just recently were listening to CoF and DB only, and if you're 16 years old (+/-1 year)

I don't know which is more stupid, constantly telling everyone how true you are or constantly telling everyone how pointless trueness is.

well... it's pointless for two reasons.. first of all most black metal is should be considered true, and second of all, Darkthrone was joking when they wrote "true norwegian black metal" on transilvanian hunger... so in the end tr00ness is nothing but a joke that has been misunderstood by teens


anyway... .. what's most stupid, constantly telling everyone how true you are, constantly telling how pointless it is, or constantly telling both how stupid they are?! :roll:

Well when people say "true" black metal i think of black metal that is actually good and not norsecore.

When i think of the words true (black) metal, i think of a band/artist that is dedicated, uncompromising and honest, making music for something more than money or sluts. (nothing wrong with money or sluts, mind you. )

i agree with both you and Dago that's how i interpret it too ... but i think just as many believe True Black Metal is norsecore..

but for the most part i think the word "true" lies within the music itself, so there's no need to use it, except when greedy bastards makes music for the sake of money and fame

they may not be the greatest Bm, band out there but i see nothing inherently wrong with gorgoroth

uh, boring norsecore with no emotion. Why listen to that when you could be listening to Burzum, Taake, Darkestrah, Ulver, Enslaved, Emperor, Krieg, Leviathan, the list goes on and on.....

Why not listen to Gorgoroth along with Burzum, Taake, Darkestrah, Ulver, Enslaved, Emperor, Krieg and Leviathan? If someone likes Gorgoroth, i don't see a problem with him/her listening to them.

Why waste your time listening to it when theres better stuff to listen to?
