Let me give you guys a list of what I like. I've been scrounging around trying to find stuff.

Amon Amarth
Arch Enemy (Early)
At the Gates
Bloodbath
Bolt Thrower
Cannibal Corpse (Latest Album)
Carcass
Centinex
Children of Bodom (Hatebreeder)
Cryptopsy
Cynic
Dark Tranquillity
Darkane
Die Apokalyptishcen Reiter
Dismember
Edge of Sanity
The Forsaken (I only have Manifest of Hate, any other good ones?)
Gojira (I only have From Mars to Sirius, any other worth mentioning?)
Hypocrisy
In Flames (Limited Listening)
Kalmah
Kataklysm (Love this band)
Mercenary (11 Dreams I love)
Misery Index (I only have Discordia, any other good albums?)
Morbid Angel
Nile (Holy crap, amazing stuff)
Norther
Obituary
Psycroptic (I only have The Scepter of Ancients and I enjoy it much)
Soilwork (Their stuff is decent)
Suffocation
Suidakra
Vader (The Art of War is great)
Yyrkoon
Zyklon

I hope that list isn't too long. I was just hoping that someone could fill in the gaps with some more death metal. I tend to like the more brutal stuff. And maybe some Grindcore too. Stuff like Dying Fetus and Pig Destroyer. All help is appreciated before hand.

I second Arsis and Augury. Check out Gory Blister and Martyr too, they're both great technical/melodic death metal.

you asked wether Misery Index have any more cool albums, and indeed they do. check out "Retaliate", it's excellent. i can't tell if it's like Discordia because i haven't had the chance to hear that one yet :/

for grindcore, you would to well to check out Rotten Sound (i only heard their album "Exit", very nice), Nasum and Terrorizer (already mentioned by Husker and probably my favourite of the 3).

Quo Vadis are excellent, not brutal, just really epic, with some very nice riffs and can keep a decent pace going.

people shit themselves over Akercocke... personally i don't like them, but many people do. check them out. they get proggy further down their discography.

also:
- Decapitated and Yattering (Polish bands)
- Deströyer 666 (black/death) - try "Cold steel for an iron age"
- Exhumed (sounded like a "grindier" Impaled to me, me like)
- Gorerotted - i didn't like them much but they seem quite popular with extreme metal fans.
- Nocturnus (The Key)
- Origin's "Informitas Infinitas Inhumanitas"
- Possessed's "Seven Churches"

No, The Key is Nocturnus" masterpiece, but Thresholds is a damn good album. It's the same style as The Key, just not quite as good.
