Finally some news on this album, it's been cocking for ages now so it better be great.
Quote:
The new VIRGIN STEELE Album is truly on schedule! David is literally one day away from completing all mixing and mastering, and I can now honestly tell you with complete confidence that it will be out in September. The name of the album is to be...VISIONS OF EDEN, and it is quite Epic. It is I believe the Group's longest album to date, clocking in at 79 minutes and 57 seconds. We hope you will enjoy it. More information, track listing etc., will appear in the weeks ahead...

Thanks for all your Faith, Support, Belief and Patience!

79:57 , they couldn't fill those two last seconds, huh?

As far as I'm concerned, this will probably be the biggest musical event of 2006. In recent months I've come to the conclusion that Virgin Steele pisses on 99.999% of all metal bands. From very high above.

I like the cover, I like the titles, and I like that they're only 11 of them. I longed for an album more focused on songs from them, but retaining the quality of the last five. This one will be great I'm sure.

Thats a big ass sword.

I cant wait for this, definately in my top 3 most anticipated albums of the year.

Im also glad to see its only 11 tracks. Im not a huge fan of random interludes on CDs, Intros and Outros are acceptable.

For the most part I like the song names. Bonedust sounds like it might be a heavy one. It almost sounds as cool as Bonestorm.. In fact, VS should change their name to Bonestorm and Defeis should go by the allias of Thrillhouse.

I really love this band. As much as I liked the House of Atreus discs, I am really hoping this album is more reminiscent of Invictus. That album is very high up on my all time great albums list.

I'm listening to this right now and let me tell you this isn't Invictus part 2. Not by a long shot.

I can only pray to all Defeis' Gods that this is not a finalized version. Songs seem good, but wtf? The keyboard is the main instrument, very much in front, while the guitars are barely audible and lack strength and energy. Defeis' voice is not what it can be either. There's some very good material here but it's being completely ruined by this softcore production.

I would be horribly disapointed but there's a glimpse of hope from their homepage:

ANNOUNCEMENT:
We can proudly announce that The New VIRGIN STEELE album is finally done! Those of you who already received the Promo copies, please kindly understand that this was not the final finished version. It has now been finalized, and is complete and much stronger, and heavier than what appeared on the Promo version. And yes... it will be released on September 8th. Stay tuned here for a Synopsis of this Work in the days ahead.

We thank you sincerely for your understanding, belief and support...

I really really hope this mp3 I have was made from one of those unfinalized promos. Otherwise would be tragic.
