I still think Floor Jansen should move to Nightwish and her sister Irene should take over with After Forever! That would rule my ass!

I'm not keen on Dead Gardens or Romanticide (I think its Dead Gardens that has that really stupid, endless, 'heavy', riff at the end).

I love Higher than Hope. Its so different to the rest of the album. It sort of reminds me of Dream Theater's Space Dye Vest, even though the two songs are totally disimilar. That's weird, right? :?

I think Romanticide is one of the best tracks on the album, its my 3rd favourite with Planet Hell and Nemo.

That part towards the end with Marco singing, the build up to that part is fantastic, really gets you into it.

The song is one of the heaviest on the album.....great track

Oceanborn is by far their greatest album so far. At the beginning, I thought Once was really great. It became my favourite. But after some time I realised that there wasn't anything great about Once. Yeah, the orchestra gave an extra edge to the band....big deal. But it took away the potent venom the keyboards had. Once was the worst album for its keyboards. Totally lame and uninspiring.

I can't understand that. I think it's an amazing album. "Planet Hell" is one my favorite Nightwish tunes, "Ghost Love Score" is easily their best epic tune. And though people scoffed and the steady, almost-electronica beat of "Wish I Had An Angel," that song is fucking killer! It's a great album. But you can dislike it.

Ghost Love Score is my favourite track on Once. It had good orchestra progression there. For any neutral, Once would be a smashing album. The best metal album for years. But being a follower of Nightwish, it was kinda disappointing. Nightwish has always been backed by awesome keyboard works....but Once just failed to show it. So yes I admit Once is good in a way, but deffinitely not great cos it lost its true essence.

IMO, Once was their worst album. Any band could have made that, and using an orchestra is hardly a new thing. For example, Therion does that all the time, and not only that, but they do it better, too.
